Lubasha Visnjic: Spoiler Update for Episode 12.4 - Blame It On The Rain http://mrsviw.blogspot.com/ New info's in bold. Teaser: Abby tells Morris that she’s not on for 6 minutes and she’s making a coffee run for everyone before she starts her shift. Morris replies, “Then be a flower drumsong and grab me a bear claw”. She looks at him. He tells her that he’ll settle up with her later and leaves. We stay with him and see that the ER is packed and busy. Patient #1 asks Morris to help him. Morris says he will in a sec. Patient #2 wants something for his pain. Morris just says sure. Patient #3 says he’s been waiting a long time. Morris replies, “And we appreciate our patients with patience”. Morris stops walking, peels off a County sticker that he has on a sheet, and puts it on the patient’s sleeve, telling the patient that someone will be with him shortly. Morris is about to move away when a burly guy with a C-collar grabs him, telling him to take the collar off. Morris says he can’t because they first need to see if he broke his neck. Morris manages to get away as the patient screams that if he broke his neck, he’d be dead. Morris says quietly, “I wish”. He walks by a “cute” patient with red hair, backtracks, and introduces himself as Dr. Morris, Chief Resident. He asks her why she’s there. She says she was rear-ended. He says, “Ow!” and tells her that he hopes she wasn’t driving. She doesn’t know how to take that comment. Morris listens to her lungs as Eve (the new Nurse Manager formerly known as Eileen Cimperman) tells him that they’re really busy and advises that they should try to clear some neck patients clinically. Morris questions the “we” part of her statement and suggests that “we” should leave the decisions to the doctors. Eve argues that if patients meet all 5 of the NEXUS criteria…Morris interrupts her and asks what she knows about NEXUS. She responds that she was Research Coordinator at Emory and enrolled 2000 patients in the initial study. Morris says that’s interesting –maybe she should bring that up at her next Nazi nurse rally. 2 pages later, it seems that Morris is insulting Eve because he says, “More like Dr. Evil and Mini Me”. Then he tells whoever he’s talking to to start clearing necks clinically. Cut to Abby leaving the Jumbo Mart with coffee and food as we hear a loud thunder clap. It’s pouring rain, and she’s doing her best to protect what she bought. A car stops for her, and she starts to walk across the street. Unfortunately, she drops a bag of muffins in a puddle. She quickly bends down to pick it up, but a large SUV doesn’t see her bending down and tries to go around the car that stopped for her. The SUV driver sees Abby, beats down on his horn and slams on his brakes, inches away from hitting her. The car window goes down, and the driver says, “What’s your problem? You can’t wait for a break in traffic?” She hurls a coffee at the driver, calls him an asshole, and tells him she’s on a crosswalk. The driver calls Abby a crazy bitch. She throws another coffee at the driver as he tries to close his window and drive away. She throws some donuts at the car, too. END OF TEASER. 3 pages later, Eve tells Haleh that she already warned her about her OT hours. Haleh says that she wasn’t scheduled to come in; she was just trying to help Connie. Eve replies that Haleh should have told Connie to call someone else because Haleh can’t work anymore OT. Haleh says, “So what, you want me to turn around and go back home?” Eve says she should, unless she wants another letter in her file. Haleh, who’s mad, looks at Sam. Haleh decides to let it go for now and leaves. Once she’s gone, Eve asks Sam if she could stay for another hour or so until she can get someone else to cover for Connie. Sam gives her a look. Eve says Sam’s name, and Sam says that she’ll do it. It’s not like she’s going to make it home on time to see Alex off to school.

Lubasha Visnjic: Cut to Luka meeting a private ambulance. Inside is Blaire Collins, a 28 year old woman. She’s staring off into space, unaware of where she is. Luka asks the paramedics for the bullet, and they tell him that Blaire was sent in from Lakeshore Gardens for an infection around her G-tube. Luka looks at her belly and sees the rash. He palpates her belly, asking her if it hurts. No response. One of the paramedics tells Luka that Blaire’s been in a coma for 6 years. Luka’s shocked. He reads Blaire’s chart, then tells the paramedics that Blaire doesn’t have to be there. And they don’t have any room. The paramedics can give her IV antibiotics, and the doctor at the nursing home can change the G-tube. The paramedic says, “So what are we supposed to do?” Luka tells them to take Blaire back. They argue that they don’t get paid for round trips and they have to go on another run. They start to walk away, leaving Blaire with Luka. Luka calls out to them. 2 pages later, Sam asks Luka what’s wrong. He explains that the nursing home dumped Blaire there. Sam’s not surprised. She’s about to help Luka when Eve arrives and tells Sam to check in the lobby – they could probably use another nurse at Triage. Sam looks at Luka. Luka says to Eve, “You’ve got to be kidding me”. Sam tells him it’s OK and leaves. Luka says it’s ridiculous. He sees Weaver walking by and asks her if she could do something about the situation. Weaver says that if it’s a nursing issue, Eve deals with it. We go with Weaver as she walks toward the elevator. Cut to Ray talking to Ned Cousins, a slightly odd Toxicology Attending who’s in his 30s. Ned tells Ray that morning rounds start at 10. They’ll discuss toxicology consultations from the entire county at that time. Ray has to carry the pager every 3rd day. Also, research conference is on Thursday afternoons. They enter the toxicology lab, and we see that it’s like a “fucking reptile farm”. Ray looks at the snakes and asks if they’re poisonous. Ned asks if he means venomous, and says that the snakes are. He’s studying neurotoxic factors in crotalid venom. Ray taps on one of the tanks, and Ned has to tell him not to do that. Ray’s told that he will work in the Poison Control Center. He’s fine with that. Ned says that Ray will be receiving calls from the public as well as health care facilities. He’ll use an online poison database. They’ll also back him up. Ned opens a door and we see a room that’s set up much like a telemarketer’s office. We see 4 “overweight men and women” who are tox nurses. There’s one tox fellow there. Ned tells Ray that he’s #5. The scene ends off Ray, not sure how this is going to work out. Cut to Neela in the ambulance bay. The paramedics unload Judy Ames, who is 31 years old. They tell Neela that Judy had a head-on collision with a cinderblock wall. Weaver comes out and Neela gives her the bullet. Weaver asks the paramedic if there were any victims in the other car, but the paramedic tells her that only Judy’s car was involved. Judy says “they” forced her off the road. They were driving like maniacs and hurt her baby. She asks for her daughter. Weaver and Neela look at the paramedic, who just shrugs and tells Weaver that Judy’s baby is with another Rescue team. Weaver tells Neela to take the patient. Weaver will wait for the baby. She assures the patient that everything’s fine and that they’ll take care of both her and her baby.

Lubasha Visnjic: Cut to Dubenko looking at some ornate ironwork. He tells the construction worker that he thinks it’s nice and asks if it’s custom-made. The worker says it is. It’s Spanish Revival. We see that this ironwork is sticking out of the construction worker’s thigh. Abby’s helping out. The worker tells them to be careful. Abby says she thinks he missed the femur. Dubenko agrees and says that the guy “bagged” the femoral artery. He knows because the guy’s foot is cold. Dubenko gives her instructions and leaves. Abby tells the patient that she’ll be right back and follows Dubenko. 2 pages later, Abby calls Dubenko “Bertrand” (I would’ve preferred Ivan or David, but OK) and tells him that if he ever wants to grab a coffee or talk…He says maybe. He thinks it would be nice. He leaves. Abby looks at the rack at Admit and asks Frank if they’ve got any patients who were not involved in car accidents. He says there’s a guy there who got scalded while driving past the hospital – some “crazy broad” threw coffee at him. The patient thinks it was a nurse. Abby says it’s probably a nurse from ICU – they’re “wacky” up there. Sam calls Abby. Abby turns around and we see… A 32 year old woman (attractive, professional) named Shawna, struggling to help her husband, Lee (50s, businessman) walk in. Sam tells Abby that Lee’s experiencing chest pain. Abby asks him when he started feeling pain. Shawna answers that it was about 10-15 minutes ago. Sam asks him what it feels like. He gestures towards his chest and says that it feels heavy there. After some back-and-forth, Shawna asks Abby if her husband’s having a heart attack. Abby says they’ll have to take a look at his EKG to determine that. Cut to a paramedic exiting his ambulance in the ambulance bay. He has a 3 month old baby with him who has blood on her face. He tells Weaver that the baby was in a single vehicle MVC and was in a rear passenger seat. The baby has multiple lacs on her head, face, and chest. It seems that the baby was ejected from her seat because she was found outside the car. Weaver asks if the car seat was anchored down. The paramedic doesn’t think so. Inez comes out to help them. Weaver asks Inez to put a line in since the paramedics tried and didn’t succeed. A uniform cop named Owens enters the scene and asks about the baby. Weaver thinks it’s too early to say anything. Owens asks Weaver to get a tox screen and blood alcohol level on the mother. Weaver tells him to talk to the mother’s doctor about that.

Lubasha Visnjic: We switch to Neela and Judy, the baby’s Mom. Owens is asking the mother whether she’s talking about an SUV or a pickup. She says she means an SUV. And it was black. Neela sits her up. Just as she sits up, Judy says she feels pain in her chest. As Neela listens to Judy’s chest, Owens asks if she got a good look at the driver and/or the passengers. Judy says there were 2 people in the SUV – the driver looked like a teenager. He was white. The passenger was either black or Hispanic. Then she tells Neela that she can’t breathe. As Neela palpates her sternum, Judy tells her to stop. Neela tells her that she thinks she broke her breast bone. Owens continues with the questions, asking if she remembers anything else about the SUV. She tells him that it had a bike rack on the roof. She also says that they tried to run her off the road, probably to steal her car. Judy realizes she’s bleeding from the lacs on her face and asks Neela about it. Neela tells her that she hit a window, but it isn’t too bad. Judy wants to know if she needs stitches. Neela tells her yes. Owens asks if anyone from the SUV had a weapon. Judy, who looks like she’s drifting off, tells Owens that she doesn’t know. She thinks that maybe they had a weapon. It all happened so fast. Neela tells Owens that Judy’s had a concussion and he has to stop asking questions until after the CT scan. Cut to Luka (in a trauma room), trying to assess Blaire as Weaver and Inez enter with the baby. Luka tells them that he’s working. Weaver apologizes and tells Luka that they have a trauma and need the room. Luka says there are no other monitored beds. Much later, we’re in Act 2. Judy’s baby is being wheeled out of the trauma room. Judy asks Neela where they’re taking her baby. Neela says that the baby’s getting a CT. Judy asks about the tubes on the baby, and Neela explains that it helps the baby breathe. Babies sometimes have to be sedated before getting a CAT scan; it doesn’t mean anything’s wrong. As Neela cleans Judy’s face, Judy asks her if the cops found anything. Neela says that it’s still early, but she’s sure they will. Judy says that she should’ve waited for the rain to stop. Neela tells her that no one can control the weather, then tells her that her tests came back normal. Unfortunately, her breast bone’s broken and it’ll take 6 weeks to heal. They’ll also need to monitor her heart to see if it’s been bruised. Judy goes on about not having to go out – the baby was crying and sometimes a car ride calms the baby. She wonders what she’ll tell her husband. Neela asks if Judy needs a new car. A note says that Neela’s levity lands flat with Judy. Judy’s lost in her grief as Neela treats her. Cut to Eve handing Weaver some CT results, telling her it’s the baby’s. Weaver asks if the baby’s awake, and Eve tells her no. Weaver gives her a look, so Eve says she’ll double-check. Weaver examines the results as she goes to Admit, where Luka is working. Weaver tells him that the CT results are negative – there’s just some soft tissue swelling. Luka asks if the baby’s awake. Weaver tells him that she’s still sedated. Luka says that Weaver can’t follow her neuro exam. Weaver says the baby will wake up and they’ll extubate. A note says that Luka’s look suggests that he’s not convinced. He moves to a computer while Jerry gives Weaver some messages. She tosses the first 3 messages, saying, “No. No. No” as she looks at them. She tells Jerry to tell Kayson to stop bugging her. Then she says she’ll call Anspaugh back when she can. Then she says she forgot that Henry has a birthday party to attend after school. Can Jerry run to the toy store for her? A note says that Jerry looks like she’s asked him to donate a testicle – the hard way. He says, “You want me to go outside?” She explains that the store’s just down the street. She wants him to buy a Singing King Funshine. He says, “In the storm?” She asks him if he’s afraid of getting wet. As she goes through her purse to give him some money, he says, “What about the lightning? I’m a big target”. Weaver suggests he try running in a zig-zag pattern. Heh.

Lubasha Visnjic: Sam approaches and introduces Weaver to Bradley Ames, Judy’s husband. Brad tells Weaver that he was told by the police that Judy got into an accident and that someone tried to carjack her. Weaver tells him that both Judy and the baby are doing fine. She’ll take him to his family. Weaver heads off with Brad, and we stay with Sam, who’s standing at the desk where Luka’s working. Frank tells her that he thought they were supposed to stay 50 feet away from each other. She says, “Bite me, Frank”. When Sam leaves, Frank tells Luka, “Ask me, you’re better off.” Luka: “I didn’t”. Cut to Abby and Lily working on Lee. Abby tells Shawna that she doesn’t think Lee had a heart attack. She thinks he has unstable angina. An artery around Lee’s heart may be closing off, so she wants him to stay there for 1-2 days for observation and more tests. Shawna tells him to hang in there, and she’ll visit him later if she can. She leaves, and Abby follows her. Abby tells her that she thinks it’ll be a good idea if Shawna stays The cardiologist may have some questions and instructions for her and Lee. Shawna says she’s not his wife – she’s his therapist. Abby asks if she’s a doctor. She says she’s a sexual surrogate. Abby: “A what?” Shawna says she has a select group of clients who need something they’re not getting at home. Abby asks if that “something” is sexual. Shawna replies that she’s providing her clients with the one thing that’s missing – that helps them lead happy lives with their wives. Abby: “Really”. Shawna also mentions that she helps women. She gives Abby her card and tells Abby to call her if Lee needs anything. Shawna leaves. Abby walks over to Luka, who’s in a Curtain Room now. He’s still taking care of Blaire. Abby asks him what he’s doing, and he explains that Blaire was dumped there by her nursing home. Apparently, he now has to change G-tubes on comatose patients. Luka looks at Lee and asks if that’s her MI. She says Lee has unstable angina. She switches the topic and asks him, out of curiosity, what kind of guy uses a sexual surrogate. He looks at her, so she tells him that that’s now the PC term they use for call girls. As Abby and Luka walk toward the Nurses Station, he tells her: “A smart one? We have a saying in Croatia…Grung chyj yorno resh…If it flies, floats or…” Abby: “Fornicates?” 2 pages later, the caller on the phone with Ray is not amused by his answer. He apologizes and admits that it’s really not the time for humor. He ends the call and swivels in his chair to find Ned standing there. He’s not amused. Ray explains that the call was about a carnivorous plant ingestion. Does Ned need any help with the snakes? Ned walks away. Ray calls out, “Let me know”.

Lubasha Visnjic: Cut to Neela with Judy. Judy asks Neela how many stitches she put in her face. Neela says 12, which isn’t bad at all. Weaver enters with Brad. Judy tells him that she’s sorry. Brad says it wasn’t her fault. The police told him everything. He thinks she saved the baby, whose name is Grace. The person who ran her off the road should be shot. Judy says she tried to get away but lost control. He tries to make her feel better. She tells him that Grace was thrown out of the car. He knows, and tells her that they said Grace would be alright. She says, “Really?” Weaver explains that they have to run a few more tests, but it looks good. Once they’re done treating Grace, they’ll bring her in. Weaver leaves. Judy tells Brad that her face is messed up. He tells her she looks great. Doesn’t she, Neela? Neela gives him the bullet on Judy’s condition. He tells Judy that everything will be fine. He’s going to be with Grace, and he’ll stay with Grace until they’re ready to transfer her into Judy’s room. They exchange I love yous, and then he leaves. Neela comments that Brad seems like a great guy. Judy says he is, then starts crying. Neela tries to calm her. Cut to Abby in the ambulance bay, huddling in an alcove. Dubenko arrives with some coffee that he bought outside. Abby tells him that they could’ve gone to the cafeteria. He says their coffee sucks. Later, a nurse is prepping Judy for sutures. Neela enters, and Judy asks her about Grace. Neela tells her that Grace has been moved to an Exam Room. Another trauma’s coming in, so they need to move Judy. They’ll take her to Grace. Owens enters and tells Judy he has some mug books. He’d like her to take a look. Judy says that everything happened so fast. She’s not even sure what she remembers seeing. Owens wants her to take a look anyway. Maybe seeing their faces in the book will jog her memory. She says she doesn’t remember any faces. It was raining, and Grace was crying. She heard a honk. All she remembers is skidding into a wall. Owens tries to tell her that it’s important to find the guys who did this to her, but she screams, “I can’t!” A note says that Judy’s outburst surprises Neela and Owens. Neela tells Owens to give her a few minutes. He does. When he leaves, Judy tells Neela that she doesn’t want to look at the mug books. Neela tells her that she may be able to identify the guys who ran her off the road. Judy says she can’t. Neela wants to know why. Judy says it was raining hard and she could barely see out of the window. The car started to slide. She could see the wall coming, but she just didn’t stop. She kept driving. Neela asks Judy what she’s trying to say. Judy says that sometimes, she can’t help it. She gets upset and she doesn’t know how to snap out of it. It feels like everything’s coming at her at once. She wants everyone to leave her alone and everything to go away. Neela asks if she drove into the wall on purpose. Judy says she tried…she just wanted “it” to stop. A note says Judy is lost in her own thoughts, but it’s pretty clear that something’s wrong with her. END OF ACT 2.

Lubasha Visnjic: Act 3. Neela tells Luka that she thinks Judy’s suffering from severe post-partum depression. She thinks the crash was intentional and she’d like Judy to be put on a psych hold. Luka agrees. As he leaves, Brad arrives and asks Neela if Judy can go home. She says no. He thought that since Judy was moved out of the trauma room, that meant that she was OK to be discharged. Neela explains that they need to monitor her heart for bruising. He wants to know how long she’ll be in there, and Neela says she’s not sure. Then she asks him if Judy drinks. He says a little. She asks about drugs. He says no. Why? She explains that it’s routine procedure for them to ask these questions. She asks if he’s noticed any changes in Judy’s mood. Has she seemed depressed, lost her appetite, or had trouble sleeping? He asks if she’s kidding. Grace is 3 months old. When she can’t sleep, none of them do. The sooner he can take his family home, the sooner they’ll get better. She tells him she can’t release them until they’re sure everything’s OK. He thanks her. Cut to Eve asking Luka if he can clear some beds. He says that he thought he was. Eve thinks it’ll be better if they work together. She asks him about a few patients, and he gives her the bullet. 2 pages later, Luka tells Frank to call “the idiots” at Blaire’s Nursing Home again and tell them that she’s been ready to go back now for 4 hours. Frank tells Luka to do it – he’s busy. An attractive professional woman in her 30’s (named Trish Gorham) says Luka’s name. She has Blaire’s file. She says she thinks she’s one of “those idiots” Luka was referring to. She explains that she’s the Assistant Director from Blaire’s nursing home. Luka backpedals, saying he didn’t mean what he said. Trish says that it’s their policy to check on patients prior to transfer. After a pause, she says she gathers that Blaire’s ready to go. Luka says yes, and leads Trish over to the Curtain Area. He says that he doesn’t think Blaire needed to be in the ER at all. What she needed was IV antibiotics. The doctor at the nursing home should’ve changed the G-tube. Trish counters that they’re not quite as staffed as the hospital and the gastroenterologist doesn’t go to the nursing home. The earliest someone would’ve been able to change the G-tube would’ve been 2 weeks. Luka asks if Blaire has any family. She doesn’t. Her mother died in the crash that left Blaire in a coma. Blaire did have a boyfriend, but he stopped visiting her a few years ago. Trish and Luka share a look. Off-screen, we hear a patient named Lawrence Digby (47) tell someone that the driver didn’t try to stop. He’s now on-screen, and we see that he’s hurt and scared. Digby asks for someone to call his son. The paramedic tells Luka that this is a case of auto vs. pedestrian. Digby explains that he ran out to get the kids some pizza. The driver didn’t even slow down. As Luka leaves with the patient, he apologizes to Trish. Digby asks if he’s dying. Luka says no, but he does think there’s some internal bleeding. Luka tells the nurse to set up for intubation.

Lubasha Visnjic: Cut to Neela and a Psych Resident named Clarke. They’re with Judy. You can see Brad and Grace outside in the hallway. The Psych Resident asks Judy about being happy or sad. Judy wants to know why he’s asking. Neela says that what they’re doing is routine. They need to assess her mental status since she had a head injury. Clarke asks if she ever wanted to hurt herself or the baby. Judy says no. A note says that Neela can’t believe that Judy’s denying everything, especially the part about not wanting to harm her baby. Judy looks at Neela and wants to know what she told Clarke. Neela reminds Judy that she said she was upset and couldn’t snap out of it. Judy doesn’t know what Neela’s talking about. Neela tells Judy that she told her that she felt like everything was coming at her and she just wanted it all to stop. Judy replies that she actually said she lost control of her car and couldn’t stop. She says Neela’s putting words in her mouth. Clarke tells Judy that it’s not uncommon for new moms to have bouts of depression. Judy says she’s neither stressed or depressed. But she will be if they don’t cut it out and let her leave. Neela tells Judy that no one’s trying to accuse her of anything. Clarke says that they have to be extra careful when children are involved. Judy tells them that she appreciates their concern, but there’s nothing wrong with her. She’s had a bad day and she wants to go home with her baby and get some rest. Clarke and Neela look at each other. Then Clarke tells Judy that he hopes she has a speedy recovery. Neela shares a look with Judy as Clarke leaves. Then Neela decides to follow Clarke. We see Clarke writing his notes as Neela walks towards him. Brad’s there. He asks if they can go now. Neela says not yet, but he can be with his wife now. He hesitates a bit, so she tells him that she’ll be right there. Once Brad leaves, Neela tells Clarke that Judy changed her story. Clarke doesn’t seem to think there’s anything wrong with Judy. Neela tells him that Judy as much as confessed to deliberately hitting the other car. Clarke says that Judy isn’t saying that now. Neela says Judy’s lying. She tries to argue her case, but Clarke cuts her off. He sees nothing wrong. He’s sorry. He leaves, and Neela’s unsure how to proceed. Cut to Weaver and Eve, who’s wheeling a patient on a gurney all by herself. The patient is Gordan Sinclair, a 42 year old slick day trader. Both of his thumbs are sprained from his MVC. Weaver asks if Eve needs a hand. Eve says she needs 8. Weaver asks for the bullet on the patient, so Eve tells her that he’s the driver of the auto vs. pedestrian (who is Digby). Gordan says Digby ran out in front of him. Eve says there’s nothing wrong with Gordan except for his thumbs. Gordan says he needs something for the pain. He says he can’t even make a fist. Eve says they’re out of beds. Weaver tells Eve to park Gordan there and she’ll see what she can do. Neela walks up and tells Weaver that Psych won’t admit Judy. Weaver doesn’t know what Neela’s talking about. 2 pages later, Sam asks Frank if he knows where Jerry is. He says that Weaver sent Jerry on an errand. A note says, “Sam reacts. Shit”. Sam says, “You didn’t”. Weaver doesn’t understand what the big deal is. Sam replies that “the big man does not do well in wet weather.” Weaver doesn’t understand what that means. Weaver leaves as Eve puts her call on hold. Eve tells Sam that she can go home – she got an ICU float to fill in.

Lubasha Visnjic: At this point, Jason (17), Ian (13), and Ellie ( Digby arrive. They ask for their Dad. Sam says that he’s still being treated. Jason tells her that he was told that their Dad got hit when he tried to cross the street. Sam says that that happened, but it wasn’t their Dad’s fault. The driver was talking on his mobile when it happened. She’ll take them all to see their father. Eve says Sam’s name, and Sam says she’s going to stay and help the kids. Eve tells her that she can do that, but if she does, she’s off the clock. Sam says, “Fine with me” and moves off with the kids. Cut to Brad holding Grace in the hallway. He tells someone on the phone that Grace is fine, but Judy’s still being monitored. He hangs up the phone when he sees Neela and asks her if he can take Judy home. She says that Judy needs to stay overnight for observation. He wants to know why. Neela tells him that she thinks Judy needs help. Brad explains that he tried to talk Judy into getting a nanny, but she didn’t want someone else to raise Grace. Neela says she doesn’t think Judy needs that kind of help – she thinks Judy needs to talk to someone in Psych. She talks to Brad about post-partum depression, but he insists that, even though she’s down a few times, it’s normal. Neela tells him that trying to hurt herself and the baby isn’t normal. He doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Some “creeps” forced her off the road. Neela says she doesn’t believe anyone forced Judy off the road. Eve calls out Neela’s name. Much later, Sam says, “We’re all set.” Inez says, “She’s good”. Eve thanks Sam and says they’ve got it covered. Sam looks at Luka and Inez, then says that she’s going to check on the patient’s kids. Cut to Neela, who sees Brad talking to Owens. Brad says that Judy’s not sure what happened. She whacked her head really hard, after all. Owens argues that they can’t find the assailants if she can’t identify them. Brad says that it’s OK. Judy’s not sure what she remembers – she doesn’t think that it was intentional now. Owens tells Brad to let him know if Judy changes her mind. Owens walks away. Neela joins Brad, telling him that he did the right thing. What he needs to do now is to get Judy some help. He says no – the next thing he needs to do is take her home. She pleads with him. He says Judy’s not crazy; she just had an accident. He tells Neela to leave them alone – he means it.

Lubasha Visnjic: Cut to Luka, Dori, Sam, Digby and kids. Sam explains to Ellie that her Dad has a broken pelvis. Some of his blood vessels are damaged and he’s bleeding internally. Jason asks if they can fix it. Sam says they’ll try, but their Dad’s lost a lot of blood. He’s in serious condition. Sam looks at Jason to see if he realizes what she’s suggesting. Jason tells her that this was supposed to be him. He was supposed to go get the pizza, but he didn’t want to go out in the rain. Gordan, the driver who did this to their Dad, is still on a gurney in the hallway, talking on his mobile. It isn’t very easy to do since he’s now sporting 2 thumb splints. They hear Gordan tell the person on the phone that he can’t drive for a week, which doesn’t matter anyway because his car’s totalled. Jason hears this and freaks. He runs over to Gordan and rips the phone out of his hand. He asks Gordan what was so damn important that he had to talk while he was driving. Jason throws Gordan’s phone against the wall and it smashes into pieces. Luka deals with Jason while Sam stays with Ian and Ellie. Luka says, “That’s enough”. Gordan tells Luka to keep Jason away from him. Luka tells him to shut up. Then he tells Jason that he knows that he’s mad, but he has to pull it together for his siblings’ sakes. Jason nods. As Inez arrives, Sam tells the kids that they can wait in the Family Room. As Sam leads them away, Inez tells Luka that one of his patients is getting agitated. He wants to know which one. It’s Blaire. Luka says Blaire’s in a coma. Inez says, “Not anymore”. Time cut to Luka looking at Blaire, who’s looking around, bewildered. Luka introduces himself and asks Blaire if she knows where she is. She doesn’t answer; she asks for her Mom. END OF ACT 3. ACT 4. Luka checks Blaire for muscle tone. She doesn’t have much. She wants to know what’s wrong with her. He asks her what’s the last thing she remembers. She says she remembers that she was going to the mall with her Mom. It was snowing. Is her Mom OK? He doesn’t know, but he’ll see what he can find out. Luka steps away to talk to Sam, who’s getting dressed to leave for the day. Sam asks about Blaire, and Luka tells her that Blaire doesn’t remember anything. Sam asks him what he plans on telling Blaire. He doesn’t know. “Your mother’s dead and you’ve been in a coma for 6 years?” He asks about the Digby kids. She says they’re hanging tough. She managed to contact an aunt and uncle, who are with the kids now.

Lubasha Visnjic: Pages later, Sam tells Eve that Eve saw Sam treating the patient with Luka. She must’ve seen how well they work together. Now if that doesn’t prove that they can work the same shift, then Eve obviously doesn’t know as much about the job as she thinks she does. After being speechless for a moment, Eve asks Sam if she feels better getting that off her chest. Then she says that she already changed Sam’s schedule. She’s back to doing her regular shifts starting next week. Sam thanks her, then shares a look with Inez. Sam tells her that she couldn’t even hook up an IV when she started. It’s muscle memory and Inez will eventually get it. Sam knows she will. Inez says she feels like an idiot. She didn’t even know what a t-pod was. Sam says everyone needs help – Inez should find her if she ever needs any. Inez thanks her. Cut to Neela with Charles Zane, DCFS. Neela thinks that he should step in. He wants to know if she wants him to take the baby away. Neela thinks that at least Grace would be safe. Zane says she has no evidence that Judy’s a danger to anyone. Psych said Judy’s OK. Neela starts to argue her position, but it isn’t working. She’s running out of options. Cut to Inez wheeling Abby’s GSW patient into the elevator. She gives Inez some instructions, and as she turns to go, she sees Shawna. Shawna explains that she had a cancellation. She tried calling Lee’s mobile, but he didn’t answer. Is everything OK? Abby says Lee’s great – they’re just waiting to take him to the cath lab. Shawna says that that sounds ominous. Abby leads her into Lee’s room and explains that they’re going to do angioplasty. Lee jokes that eating cheese steaks finally caught up to him. Shawna says that she been telling Lee to eat better for years. We hear someone call Lee’s name offscreen. It’s Viv, Lee’s 40 year old attractive wife. Lee introduces his wife. A note says, “Uh oh”. Lee tells Viv what’s going on. Then Viv turns to Shawna and says, “I didn’t get your name”. Shawna introduces herself. Viv wants to know who she is. A note says that Shawna’s about to get the same treatment she’s been providing. Abby covers by saying that Shawna’s a therapist from the cath lab. It doesn’t look like Viv’s buying it, so Shawna regurges exactly what Abby told her about the angioplasty. Viv seems convinced. Shawna wishes Lee (whom she calls Mr. Rafferty) luck. She tells Viv it was nice to meet her and leaves. Abby tells Viv and Lee to give her a moment, then leaves. In the hallway, Shawna says that that was close. She thanks Abby for the cover-up and says, “If you ever need a therapist…” Abby says, “I think I’m good…” As she says this, she sees Dubenko at a desk. Then Abby says to Shawna, “But now that you mention it—do you ever do any pro bono work?”

Lubasha Visnjic: 2 pages later, Jerry comes in and gives Weaver some small bills and a clump of change. It looks like the coins have all been fused together. Weaver looks at Frank, then tells Neela to put Jerry on a cardiac monitor. She should also run some tests. Neela waves Weaver off, sticking her finger in her ear so that she can hear what the person’s saying on the phone. She manages to get the Psych Attending to agree to do an assessment on Judy. She tells Weaver that if a Doctor Wakita asks, she should agree with Neela’s post-partum depression assessment. Weaver says, “I do?” and Neela nods. Neela suddenly spots Brad, Judy and Grace leaving and runs down the hall. She tells them that she got an attending to agree to come down and speak to Judy. It seems they’ve had enough. Judy asks Neela if she has children. When Neela says no, Brad says, “Then how do you even know what you’re talking about?” Neela says she’s a doctor. Judy retorts that Neela’s not a mother. Neela tries to convince them, but they get in their car and drive away. END OF EPISODE. The following info probably happens in upcoming episodes: I believe Blaire’s back at the nursing home. We can see that her room’s sparsely decorated. Luka, wearing street clothes, arrives while Blaire’s brushing her teeth in bed. He asks her how she feels, and she tells him that the toothbrush feels really heavy. He tells her that it’s normal after having prolonged bed rest. She’s hoping he brought some ice cream and a burger, but he tells her he came by to check on her muscle tone. Blaire, using humor in order to disguise how vulnerable she feels, says that at least he’s not like a doc who works there – “He brings tours in here like I’m some freak at the Wild Animal Park”. Luka says that the other doc’s just excited that she’s awake. Blaire jokes some more. Luka asks her to squeeze his hand. She does, and he notes that she gained more strength. He checks her leg and it seems better, but then her leg suddenly collapses. Luka tells her that it’s more than what she could do before. She’s says it’s all due to her therapy sessions. He sees her teddy bear and says that it looks like she’s had visitors. She explains that it’s from her best friend from college, who she hasn’t seen since graduation. Some more jokes, and then she says she needs to relax. It’s hard to wake up and find out that her Mom’s dead, fiance’s missing, and she literally slept through her 20s. She asks if Dr. Shulansky gave him the details about her accident; he changes the subject every time she asks about what happened. Luka says that all he knows is that Blaire and her Mom were driving somewhere and then there was a crash. She says she remembers that part – she and her Mom were going for a final fitting on her wedding dress. He asks if she spoke to her fiancé yet. She says she’s scared and she doesn’t know how to deal with that situation. He urges her to call her fiancé.

Lubasha Visnjic: Next thing we know, Luka’s on the phone. Blaire’s anxious, so Luka tells her to relax. This’ll be weird for Jason, her fiancé. Dr. Shulansky drops by, so Luka gives the phone to Blaire and tells her to take a deep breath. The docs stand in the doorway, with Luka keeping an eye on Blaire. Shulansky wants to know what’s going on, so Luka tells him that she’s calling Jason. We hear Blaire introducing herself on the phone and asking for Jason. Luka tells Shulansky that Blaire’s doing great. Shulansky says he’s amazed by her progress – he’s been treating her for 4 years and all of a sudden…this. We hear Blaire on the phone, saying, “Hi…Yeah, it’s really me”. Luka says that it’s not everyday that someone comes out of a vegetative state. Shulansky explains that Blaire seemed to be aware of her surroundings (when she was in a coma) and could say yes and nod appropriately on occasion. We see Blaire nervously twisting the phone cord while she talks. Luka asks what Shulansky’s treating her with, and Shulansky replies that he’s using an experimental cocktail of fluoxitine, sinemet and dextroamphetamine. Luka tells him that Blaire’s asking about the accident. Shulansky tells Luka not to talk to Blaire about it. Luka doesn’t understand, so Shulansky tells him that the crash “was…violent to say the least”. We hear Blaire say, “Oh. That’s great. Congratulations”. Shulansky explains that Blaire and her Mom were carjacked. He gives Luka the file and tells him that Blaire’s Mom was raped and shot. He says that Blaire tried to fight the carjackers and was brutally pistol-whipped. She would’ve been killed, but someone pulled up. Luka thinks she has the right to know, but Shulansky argues that Blaire’s fragile, and telling her might reverse her progress. He thinks she needs to hear this at the right time, from someone who’s close to her. Luka says she has no family. Shulansky says that he’ll tell her, but later. He leaves, and we hear Blaire say, “Sure. No, I understand”. When Luka walks over to her, she tells him that Jason couldn’t talk right now, but will call her back. She thinks he sounded good. Cut to Blaire in the cafeteria, drinking a milkshake. She doesn’t seem happy. Luka asks her if she’s OK. She jokes around, then explains that the woman who answered the phone was Jason’s wife. They have 2 kids and live in suburban NJ. She says that Jason was a city guy. She laughs nervously and says that the hard part is that everything has gone on and she still feels like she and Jason were just finalizing their guest list last week. Luka thinks that Jason stayed by her for as long as he could. Blaire tells him that according to Shulansky, Jason visited her twice. Luka explains that it must’ve been hard for Jason to see her lying there like that. She says it’s no wonder he wanted them to write their own wedding vows; he probably wanted to take out the “in sickness and in health” part. Luka asks her if she wanted Jason to spend the rest of his life hoping she’d come out of something that everyone said wouldn’t happen. Blaire jokes that maybe she can be [Jason’s] mistress”. Luka smiles. Cut to Luka pushing Blaire in a wheelchair. They’re on a busy overpass, looking at the traffic below. She tells him that her Mom never gave her the talk about marriage because she wanted Blaire to be independent. The moment she told her Mom that Jason proposed, her Mom pulled out a trunk. It turns out that her Mom had Blaire’s wedding all planned out. Luka asks if Blaire’s Mom wanted the wedding more than Blaire. Blaire said that her Mom wanted her to have a special wedding; she worked 2 jobs just so that Blaire could hire a band instead of a DJ. Blaire asks Luka to stop. She looks at the cars below and says that she can’t wait to get out of there. Then she asks Luka if Shulansky told her about the crash. Luka covers and says he forgot to ask. She asks where Lake Michigan is, and he tells her. She asks if they can go there, but he tells her that he shouldn’t have even brought her out of her room. She replies, “What does a girl have to do to get a break with you?” She smiles and we cut to…

Lubasha Visnjic: The hospital rooftop at night. They’re looking at the skyline. He tells her that she only has 5 minutes, and then he’s bringing her back inside. She asks him to bring her to the edge. He says that if she tells Shulansky that he’s doing this, he’ll deny it. She says, “So will I”. He tells her he’s being serious – what they’re doing is bad. He pushes her to the wall, but Blaire can’t see anything. She asks him to pick her up. He refuses. She says, “Come on, we got this far. Don’t wuss out now”. She tries to lift herself up. He calls her name, but she ignores him. He reluctantly helps her. She points at a building and tells him that she used to live there. Her Mom saved for years so that they could move from the South Side. She asks where he lives. He points to where he is, but says she can’t see it from where they are and begs her to sit down. There’s a gust of wind, and Luka covers Blaire with his jacket. Blaire closes her eyes, enjoying her moment outside. He says that he should really bring her back. She asks him if he’s always been a worrier. He responds that he’s always had something to worry about. Luka “studies” Blaire while she looks around. She asks him if he thinks God’s responsible for her waking up from the coma. He says he doesn’t know. She says he probably thinks it was science. He replies that he’s seen deeply religious people come into the hospital and prayer did nothing for them. He’s also seen sceptics have miraculous recoveries. Blaire asks if he thinks it’s fate. He says he thinks he’s glad they’re both there, able to wonder about it. Blaire smiles and nods. Cut to them still on the rooftop. She asks him if he misses Croatia. He says he still has family there, but there are more opportunities for him in Chicago. He likes Chicago. After some more chit-chat, she explains that the reason she keeps asking about the accident is because she keeps having flashes that don’t add up. He asks her about the flashes, and she replies that she remembers being scared. In flashback mode, there’s a blurry vision. Blaire says that they had just gotten coffee. We hear gunshots, then smoke. She says that she remembers seeing her Mom’s face. We see a young Blaire falling face down on the pavement. Blaire says that her Mom was petrified. We see Blaire looking under the car and seeing a hand. She remembers hearing her Mom scream, but it’s muffled by the radio. We see the hand pull away, leaving a puddle of blood. Blaire says that there was blood and laughter – a lot of laughter. At first she thought it was all a dream, but the images are clear. Luka tells her that he thinks she needs to sit down. She continues, saying that something else happened that night, but she’s confused. She’s trying to figure out what it is. Luka wants to know what she’s trying to figure out. She says, “Me to help…I need truth…understand”. A note says that a look of fear spreads across Luka’s face.================================================

Lubasha Visnjic: Observateur Member (10/13/05 10:37 pm) You are being generous calling it ridiculous. Hands up, it's the worst moment of this season so far, and one of ER worst. I don't know if LO was pissed or what, but Dubenko was creepier and weirder than usual. Die, Gemill, die. (àâòîð ñöåíàðèÿ) ETA: Nobody is going to convince me that LO (Ëåëàäí Îðñåð - Äûáåíêî) and MT were happy with this. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Doc Sharon Member (10/13/05 10:52 pm) If I was LO, I would've been pissed, he's a dam* good actor, they finally give him a scrap of a storyline and it's total BS. And, while there are 5 minutes left, I think it's safe to say that this eppy was a disappointment. I liked Sam using her feistiness to make her point with Eve. Neela's storyline was not engaging at all mainly because the actress playing the mother was not that good and because the case seems like something we've seen on this show a dozen times before. Ray's 'plot' was a big ho-hum. And we have a preview for an 'All New ER' next week, so it's not a rerun. And it was all about JL's debut. ------------------------- mackiaveli Member (10/13/05 11:04 pm) Sam & Eve shared the same hairstyle tonight. Sam’s hair is looking so much better. I still can’t get used to Dubenko’s first name being Lucien. Its good that they caught his prostate cancer early . I guess that memorial service in episode 10 is not for Dubenko after all. Dubenko is such a geek who is inept at social interactions. I guess that is why he was so pathetic enough to ask Abby who is a co-worker to have sex with him because of his prostate cancer treatments. It was very inappropriate. But I’m guessing the writers thought this was humorous & even more humorous to tie it in with the professional call girl. I found it all extremely awkward as it was supposed to be. I did laugh when Abby asked him if he wanted to hop on and help with the incoming trauma. I guess tonight was just to set up Luka’s coma patient plot for future episodes. I assume Ray was in the episode to add humor. It was nice to see Kerry working back in the ER. I have never been a fan, but her presence is needed in the ER. I’m still liking Eve. This episode was not as sharp or fast paced as the previous two this season. I found it slow moving. Still it was miles better than the dullsville that was the season premiere. I don’t think Paul McCrane directs with enough focus and energy. But I thought the episode was decent. Next week from the preview looks at the very least interesting and different. Look forward to it.

Lubasha Visnjic: Freyalise Member (10/13/05 11:12 pm) I personally don't think Dubenko came off as creepy, but the scene was so horrible that other descriptive words just aren't coming to mind. Thank God for the two laughs Morris gave me, otherwise I'd be seriously depressed. Way to go with the character assassination, people. ------------ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iczer eh Administrator (10/13/05 11:24 pm) I missed the beginning of the episode and got in just in time to see the Dubenko-Abby scene. I... really can't remember anything after that apart from me groaning while my brother howled and kept asking me why I still watch a show that has that effect on me It's been an hour and I still can't believe I actually watched it happen. Stuff like this is why I'm having a hard time sharing the optimism about the rest of the season. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CodySNLER Member (10/14/05 12:37 am) After reading the descriptive spoilers, for some reason I expected the teaser with Abby & the angry driver to be longer, and definitely thought the Jerry getting struck by lightning bit would be bigger than it actually was. They never really went into the 6 year - coma girl or Ray's story either. Kind of a fly-by episode, but it was enjoyable. I think I definitely enjoy the episodes Laura Innes directs better than Paul McCrane's. I'd say McCrane's "The Student" from Season 10 was great, however. Laura has him beat though.

Lubasha Visnjic: YeahSure Member (10/14/05 9:44 am) Dubenko and Abby were cringe worthy tonight. Abby was too amused by everything, I think. As awkward as Dubenko was, you gotta feel for the guy. And it seemed Abby was about to crack up the entire time. Ew. It was awful. What was the point of Ray's storyline? God, I hate him. What was the point of Kerry and Luka disagreeing about the infant treatment? It went nowhere... Also cringe worthy: Luka and his call girls comment. Um, isn't this the guy who was seeking comfort sex with hookers while wallowing in a deep depression? Now it's funny to him? Abby throwing the coffee ... extreme overreaction. More cringes from me. Some good: Sam is being redeemed and she's much more pleasant this way. It was nice to see Luka and Sam working so well together. Eve is amusing and KJ is doing a decent job. Morris falling! HAHAHA! Oh man, SG is just a funny actor. ------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- lynnskies Member (10/14/05 10:44 am) I have to agree with everyone about the Dubenko/Abby scene. It was horrible- I was cringing the entire time. I mean what kind of professional asks someone (a colleague) to sleep with him like it's no big deal? The writers have sunk to a new low IMO! Other than that, I thought the episode was good, but not as good as the previous two. I laughed like crazy when Morris fell and I like seeing the rest of the cast (except Ray- I hate Ray, but that is beside the point!)- seemed more ensemble to me.

Lubasha Visnjic: Madelien00 Member (10/15/05 7:07 am) First things first: - Jerry is back! I thought that Abraham quit, but apparently he didn't (zigzagpattern rules.) - I really like Scott & Laura, and Kristin & Goran together - Morris fall was funny - Ray's storyline was not really... well, it was not really interesting. - And then the rain, so typically ER: Drama is rain, rain is drama. - Kerry drowned in the rain gave me this huge season flashback (hair, blouse, rain), but she was such a flat character :S - I like Neela in action, actually doing something. But Neela's hair went from totally drowned to almost dry in no time. That wasn’t right. - And than the HUGE HUGE problem of this episode: Abby and Dubenko. Whyyyyyyy whyyyy whyy? Never been so frustrated during ER. Abby's 'duh' was nice, but still, all of a sudden she called him Lucien? Weird. - Maura made some great faces and I love the 'wacky' thing. Yeah, I still like Abby. Lot of Abby, but she rocked. (Besides Dubenko) - that ‘therapist’ reminded me of the season 9 women who came with the old guy with his viagra. Remember? - Abby and Luka were nice, until Dubenko interrupted them and SUDDENLY decided to have coffee with Abby. (again, why why why) - Neela's patient storyline was good, but slow, too slow. (And getting a little old, those patients with those stories) It wasn't getting anywhere. The scene lasted too long. - Well, and there the Dubenko/Abby conversation started. Nice to see that Abby had no idea how to react, which was nice in the beginning, until Dubenko really started to get creepy. He wasn't funny weird anymore :S. It was only about sex, and Abby just kept talking around it. Then Dubenko got REALLY FREAKY. O my god. And Abby's reaction! I mean FLATTERED?! O come on. Can't believe that she said that. 'Nothing personal.' Please, let it be something personal for God’s sake... Oh, pure frustration. The stupid thing is, that Maura and Leland were acting great together, but the conversation just... it' was soooo wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. Leland really acted it like 'I think this is ridiculous but I'll do it anyway,’ and I think that Maura thought it was quite funny to do. They both knew that it was wrong. - Frank's 'please hold, please hold,' was so old... - The kids of that father (sorry, didn't remember any names) were great actors. Jason-guy was very, very good. - I like Inez, it's good that some nurses get screentime. But still not brilliant. Not ER brilliant. - And then again Neela storyline. Not saying anything. - The tension between Sam and Kovac was not very strong, it was supposed to be strong, but it wasn't. Just like the whole episode. - Scene with Sam, Inez and Eve woke me up when Sam started to yell. I was like: ‘O... wake up, I’m watching ER...’ - Jerry's little storyline was very nice, but I wish that we would have been able to see it! But no, characters like Jerry aren't allowed to have screentime anymore... - And then, at the end. Neela and Judy. Again. Neela really annoyed me at the end. She wasn’t getting anywhere, and I totally understood why Judy wanted to get away from her. The episode was in one word: weird. There were so many things going on, but none of them was actually interesting, and they should have been. Then there were some funny, nice moments in between. (Jerry, Morris who fell, Abby in the rain, Inez) And we never saw Abby talking with Sam... or Pratt, (he had like no screentime) In the older seasons, all the doctors and nurses communicated, in season 12 everyone is doing it for themselves, the harmony of one cast group is gone. It wasn't really an episode on it's self, hard to explain. I didn’t feel like something actually happened. And besides Abby and Dubenko, nothing ‘personal’ happened. The ending: Neela standing in the rain, not able to keep Judy in the hospital. Very unexpected that it ended there, although 45 minutes had passed, I didn’t really believe that this would be the end of the episode. It was very all of a sudden, like: Okay, let's stop here, we filled 45 minutes, see you next week. (Rate: 6.5)

Lubasha Visnjic: cdessler Oct 14 2005, 03:01 AM TELL ME THEY DIDN'T GO THERE WITH DUBENKO. I think I just died inside. Damn, he was beautiful, but oh Jesus. -------------------- angstyandjaded Oct 14 2005, 03:55 AM in the mean time it was great to see sean from degrassi, more specifically, sean trying to beat up people and being meloncholy even when not on degrassi! cause ya know, he left degrassi cause he was the same way. alright episode. can't believe dubenko asked abby for sex *is disturbed* can't wait 'till next weeks episode! --------------- GreenJello125 Oct 14 2005, 12:36 PM You know, I didn't think it was that bad of an episode, except for the Dubby conversation and Jerry at the very end. Besides, the gorgeous Laura Innes made QUITE a few appearances on screen; it was glorious! ---------------------- ladylightning20 Oct 14 2005, 12:50 PM Ok...this episode wins an Official Lady Lightning WTF? Award. When I was watching happen, I had the same thought as most of you: OH...NO...THEY...DIDN'T! (ñåêñ Ýááè ñ Äûáåíêî) It's Zabel and Gemmil, so you knew, or at least suspected, that something like the coffee scene was coming...but...when it happened, it was like a watching a car crash in slow motion. The only saving grace as far as I'm concerned, was how incredibly delicious Leland looked in that scene. (Oh man, the wet hair was HOT) (OK, how many of us were sitting there at that moment wishing that we were the ones getting that proposition instead of Abby? )(I know that I, for one, wouldn't have said no...) I think, after this episode, whenever they mention Dubenko's cancer, I'm going to cringe out of instinct because I'll suspect a repeat of something like that scene... (BTW, does anyone happen to have a screencap of Dubenko in the rain that I could use to make an avatar?)

Lubasha Visnjic: KzamInUSA Oct 14 2005, 01:24 PM I thought that it was a balanced episode. With that being said, I agree with others who have posted, that nothing could capture the horror of the Abby-Dubenko coffee scene. Nothing. In all fairness to the writers and producers, I think that they were going for a Ben Stiller-Jennifer Anniston like feel for that scene. And, if I think about Ben Stiller delivering Orser’s lines, then I could see where that scene could have been funny. However, I don’t think that Leland Orser is a Ben Stiller style actor, rather I think that he is a good dramatic character actor. So instead of last night’s scene about erectile dysfunction and penile injections coming off as Ben Stiller-awkward, yet charming and funny, I thought that it came off as awkward, painful/unbelievable (why would he tell these things to a woman who has barely been civil to him in the past), and feeling about 60 seconds too long. With the exception of those minutes and the omnipresent storyline that there is ‘something’ about Abby that makes most men and apparently women want to jump into bed with her, I think that the episode was decent but a little bland. I think that it could have been an exciting episode - it had several storylines going at once and almost all of the characters had meaningful lines/appearances – but I thought that it lost energy in some places. We saw Frank, Jerry, and even Haleh. Luka and Neela had strong storylines. Ray had a nice moment in the poison control center. Eve made her appearance, and Sam had good lines. Although, I could have done without Sam’s high horse speech to Eve. After all, it was just last week that we saw Sam and Luka putting a patient’s life in danger – yet again – because of their relationship issues. ----------- IluvRay Posted: Oct 13 2005, 10:06 PM So I really liked this eppisode. I thought it was more like the old ones. It was really funny but still had some drama mixed in. Had a lot to do with the hospital. I didn't think the husband of the post-partum lady was a very good actor so that kinda brought it down for me but he got better as the eppisode went on. Over all really good. And when Dubenko was talking to Abby about sleeping with him....OMG I could not stop laughing!! Especially when she was like "Hey do you wanna hop on? I mean are you coming? I mean..." HAHAHAHA I thought that was hilarious. I'm sure some people are gonna find it offensive and say that ER has resorted to childish crude humor but I thought it was really funny. And the whole Jerry getting struck by lightning that was really funny...I don't know if its possible to be struck by lightning and just keep walking or w/e but it was still funny.

Lubasha Visnjic: shopAholic Posted: Oct 13 2005, 10:17 PM I didn't watch all of it, so this is just my opinion of what I saw - BORING! Oh man, the parts I saw were painful to sit through. That baby crying really pissed me off, just cause the kids mouth wasn't even open for parts of it, but the stupid kid was still screaming it's head off. The Dubenko/Abby thing, it's like the ER producers are almost trying to copy Grey's Anatomy, cause the few few minutes of episodes I've seen, all it's about is sex. I can't really be bothered with ER anymore, honestly I could care less about this season, which is really sad, because it could be SO good. But it probably won't be. ------------------- ashmo Posted: Oct 13 2005, 10:38 PM I think so far in this Season that was probably the worst. I liked it but I liked the others better. There were many things I liked. Sam- she was off the chains tonight. When they introduced her she was like this kickass nurse with a really feisty personality and we lost that when Samka began. I was hoping it would bring this back at out her and they did . I liked how she and Luka worked together like friends, its like there's no tension just friendship reminds me of Luka and Abby, just a strong friendship. Debenko- that was ridiculous I mean there's no way in hell he actually thought she'd go for that. I was laughing also when she said the hoping on thing, a wierd scene. I'm guessing that Debenko's cancer is not really going to be serious. Ray- didn't really care Eve- I have no idea what to think about her she's seems only to care about her department, not what she does to others, not about her own feelings being hurt, I have to see more of her Neela- I thought she had a great storyline tonight. Parminder did great as always. I didn't think the woman she worked on was very good at all. Luka- again like how he's kind of getting over Sam and maintaining their friendship . I can't wait to see more of him and Blaire storyline i thought that was pretty good. Abby- I don't really know what to say. I thought her scene with Debenko was funny. I thought her and the therapy lady were interesting, I didn't even think the lady was listening to Abby when explaining the man's treatment and then she spit all that out, I laughed too hard. I find it interesting that Abby's like the only person who corrects Luka when talking, I liked that scene. The coffee scene with the truck was wierd, did it seem like it was a completely differnet person talking when calling him an a**hole. Really low voice . Jerry- I wonder how many times he's been hit by lightning It was okay I think they dropped alot from the past episode.

Lubasha Visnjic: Calla Queen Posted: Oct 13 2005, 10:57 PM GOOD EPI!! Was Kerry being a little too CYA or was she feeling "rusty" after all this time being a full time administrator? She did look more concerned than usual in between traumas when she didn't think anyone else was looking. I could be wrong,.....maybe she was just more concerned because it was a baby & she could relate to the parents' anxiety? >>But she certainly didn't give a damn about Jerry & his lightning phobia! It wasn't until she got those melted coins as change that she finally acknowledged what everyone else knew in the ER! Just a bit out of touch again! And a bit too quick to disregard her collegues & staff's input again! Poor Jerry....how many times can one person get hit by lightning & survive without residual neurological damage? Dubenko was sad, and desparate, as anyone who gets the news that your body has 'turned on' you with a diagnosis of Cancer, especially when it's a recurrance. Being a surgeon himself, he was more than aware of the potential problems, & the viscious side effects of chemo/radiation and surgery complications. It does make you more willing to take a risk, "make a wish" come true......when you know options are limited. He's always had a "thing" for Abby & she was being compassionate & empathetic, so why not ask? He did truely understand, although he was dissappointed. Abby did a nice thing asking Shawna, the sexual therapist to "pinch hit" for her (it is Baseball playoffs/World Series time right?)recognizing how emotionally needy he would become. No matter how pitiful Dubenko's situation was, saying 'yes' was really more than Abby could have handled. She's had enough dealings with needy, unstable Bipolars' mood swings to last several lifetimes. Eve was being ultra-protective of the RNs with Luka. ...like he was abusing them or something! Jumping in every chance she got......berating the newer nurses, just getting oriented to the facility & staff,,,,,,,, She's going to wear herself out trying to do that! And seeing Sam working with Luka so well, knowing what he needed before he even asked for it,...how could you not change her shifts? Sam may have her flaws, as we all do, but her nursing expertise is NOT one of them. She might push things at times, & project her own agenda onto the patients occaisionally, but she knows her stuff! Luka was assertive and only borderline aggressive with Eve,....and very professional with Sam & the other RNs. He did a nice job with all his trauma cases, but sort of 'chicken-ed out' when it came to informing her very much about her condition & the other facts surrounding it. But then, perhaps this would be something you'd want to have a psych consult about..... News like that,...dead Mom, AWOL fiance, 6 yr Coma.....not easily taken in or accepted. Can't really blame him. Speaking of psych consults......Neela, sometimes you just have to give up! That whole family was in denial & there's nothing you can do but pray. That's what AMA forms are for!! Post partum depression is a tough one to see clearly because as the hubby said....."we've got a 3 month old baby.....when she can't sleep, NO ONE DOES!" All that 24/ 7 lack of sleep, eating irregularly, lack of any sort of schedule & the constant attention that any baby requires, especially a "cholicky" one.....it's enough to make anyone nuts, without the added physiologic effects of out of balance hormones. Women used to die from this disease in it's most severe form....became useless Zombies, prone to every minor disease due to decreased immune response. There's a surreal realization that your life is NOT your own in any way, shape or form! God love them, but babies are ALOT of work! And the stress levels on new Moms & Dads is tremendous! I've rambled on long enough (or far too long as I'm sure Dr. Romano thinks! ) Looking forward to seeing how John Leguizamo will shake up the staff next week! Good night

Lubasha Visnjic: Tony Posted: Oct 13 2005, 11:03 PM I enjoyed this episode. It was the best one so far this season in my opinion. I got the feeling that Eve doesn't know as much about nursing as she wants us to believe she does. It looked like she kept switching rooms because she was unable to handle the procedures needed. Did anybody else get this feeling?

Lubasha Visnjic: guardiantales Posted: Oct 14 2005, 05:18 AM Well, overall I liked the episode.. i think it's funny that I was so not happy about Sam basically dumping Luka when it was happening, and I've already progressed to not being able to care less if they get back together. I did like it when Sam told off that goofy looking Eve...what IS the story with this character? I'm not liking her at all, and am uncertain just what it is she's supposed to be doing there.. Dubenko and Abby scenes... funny. "Are you coming?" The woman waking from the coma after 6 years or 9 years or whatever... I found this completely UNBELIEVABLE. The only good thing about that storyline is Luka. I felt sorry for Jerry getting hit by lightning. And Neela... I really like her, but man, give it a rest, woman! Overall.. I hope next week is better... -------------------- Dr. Romano Posted: Oct 14 2005, 09:18 AM The end of the Dubenko/Abby scene was more like Scrubs than ER. Anyway, the guy's not the smartest. I mean, if you want to have sex with someone, creeping them out by telling them every detail about your penis might not be the best idea. ---------------------- pebbles Posted: Oct 14 2005, 01:29 PM I'm getting tired of the storylines where one of the doctors decides that a patient needs "help", often psychiatric, and then proceeds to try and IMPOSE it on them. I think it's not helpful to the show or its viewers to show a power struggle between a care provider and patient/family as a routine aspect of care. A doctor trailing after a patient as they leave, screaming "BUT YOU NEED HELP!" is not good drama, in my books. They've overdone it, in too many episodes. Eve - I don't like the way she talks to people, including "her" staff (the nurses), but I like that they've added a nurse character who displays her knowledge about emercency care. Not just wearing tight tops and/or doing what the doctor says. I dunno about whether she's a good nurse on the job, but she's brought the show back up a notch, just with focusing on the skill levels. Hearing that this character was being added is the only reason I watched this season at all. I find the doctors are being shown as very judgemental these days. There was always that aspect to the writing, but it's all over the place now. There is no balancing veiwpoint of any kind, nobody reminding the "residents" that you have to let patients live their own lives as they choose, etc. I'm reminded of an episode in season 2: Carter refers to a patient as a SHPOS, and Dr Lewis says "what did you say?".... Carter replies, "Oh, it means Sub-Human Piece of-", Lewis says, "I know what it means, Carter. You know, we used to worry about you - we worried that you cared too much. We don't worry about that so much any more." In this season of ER, and this cast, I can't picture anyone correcting a resident who talked about a patient that way. Ray - okay, we get the point, he's a lousy communicator and too flippant. I think we got that point a few dozen eoisodes ago. Now would the writers like to DO something with that - like maybe show him learning to do it better, etc? And a wasted opportunity to show a "different" medical world of toxicology, imo.

Lubasha Visnjic: serena Posted: Oct 14 2005, 02:53 PM this was a pretty good episode. i was laughing so loud when kerry almost fell and morris caught her and when abby threw the coffee at the guy. the post partum mother was a bit boring but parminder acted really well. ------------ erfreak07 Posted: Oct 14 2005, 03:09 PM I thought it was a pretty good episode. Seems like there is more action and a lot more humor. I've noticed that when ER started there was a lot of humor then it started to die and they seem to have really picked it back up this season and i really like it! It was nice to see Kerry get some more scenes and stuff... has anyone else noticed that Abby always ends up having to deal with jerks? and calling people names? the chick on the train and then the dude with the truck... she just must have some bad luck! --------------------------- waves39 Posted: Oct 14 2005, 03:57 PM Months after his selection, Morris is still touting his Chief Resident title. At least he learned after this week not to mess with someone a foot taller, that possesses a lethal middle finger. That was the only thing Eve did that I liked. She's way too determined to keep Sam and Luka working separate shifts. She should have other, better things to worry about as Nurse Manager. Everything that Dubenko did this episode was very true to character. From admiring the ornate fencing stuck in a patient, to going to Abby and asking straight up if she would have sex with him. (After going into extreme detail of course.) Kerry Weaver hasn't been in a major plotline since her mother came to town. It's difficult to say why TPTB would want to give her minimal screen time up to this point after watching last night's episode. We got to hear about Henry for the first time in ages, (King Funshine!) and it's obvious that she's thinking about him in the trauma. It's been a very long time since we've seen Kerry's compassion in a good trauma. Neela's come a long way. It wasn't too long ago that she was in dead last among the interns in patient satisfaction scores. She tried her hardest to get her patient to stay, but she learned, and will continue to learn time and time again that some people just dont want to be helped. Next Week: ER's 250th episode. Enter John Leguizamo. -Has anyone else noticed in the opening credits that they replaced the scene with Carter hunched over in the Pilot episode with one of Neela cowering in the drug lockup? -Eve has to be one of the few people that've come around to rival Luka in height -Neela and the paramedic ride-alongs...this should be interesting -Ray should stay in toxicology. -Things have settled down a bit between Luka and Eva. They've moved past the kindergarten bickering of last eppy. -Look out! Flying chart! -So, how many times has Jerry been struck by lightning? Quotables Eve: Inez, walk with me. Inez: Do I have to? Morris: Glad to have you back in the trenches with us, Boss. Weaver: yeah, that makes one of us. I dont know what I'm going to tell my husband Neela: Need a new car? Look of the week runner up: Jerry, praying at the desk Line of the week runner up: Eve: Everyone signed off on it except Psych, crazy bastards. THE LOOK OF THE WEEK: Neela standing in the middle of the street in the downpour THE LINE OF THE WEEK: Dubenko's whole cancer speech.

Lubasha Visnjic: CallingDoctor Posted: Oct 14 2005, 04:34 PM So can we say Kerry is back? Good episode, Season 12 has yet to let my hopes down. ------------- NeelaFan Posted: Oct 14 2005, 04:57 PM I thought it was a good episode as well. They all have been good since the premiere which was IMO so so. Season 12 so far has been reminding of the early show with the humor and such, which is good. Hoping they will continue to be good and we'll get to see what John Leguizamo will bring to the formula next week. ------------ Doctor_Crowe 10/13/2005 8:52pm This was a great episode. This season reminds me a lot of the early seasons. Jerry's scene's were hilarious. poor guy. Lots of Weaver in this episode. That was good to see. I like how Sam and Luka were able to work together and I liked how Sam stood up to Eve. Sam's advice to Inez was good. Looks like Sam is starting to become a mentor. And it looks like there is more focus on the nurses again. That's good to see. I hope they continue the story about the woman in the comma. I wonder if the breast cancer woman from the last episode will be back. I'm hoping we get to see more of her. Was it just me or did we hear Dubenko's first name?

Re: Episode Discussion for 12.4 (Blame it on ... | 10/13/2005 11:09pm Thank goodness that it was Luka treating the coma patient, and not Morris. I can only imagine what kind of insensitive comment he would have made to that poor woman. It was cool that Luka and Sam worked great together like they did. But at first, it looked like Eve didn't even notice. She excused Sam from the room. And Sam had to make her speech before Eve said anything. It seems like Eve was punishing Sam or something for having a relationship with a doctor. I think we're going to see the mother with the baby again. Neela did everything she could short of restraints to get her help. Looks like she needed it. I see a good friendship developing with "Lucien" and Abby. All though, she was looking for a hole to crawl into during their conversation. And that was before he brought up the "scientific" thing. I can't see how that line would ever work??? Quote of the night: Abby's slip up with the GSW rolling in. "Would you like to hop on?" The coma patient was bizzare. What do you tell someone in her position. Again, thank goodness it was Luka and not Morris. Oh, and Morris fell down and went boom again. I think that's all he's good for. He falls down, we all laugh. -----------------

I really liked the Neela's patient storyline. I still say she depressed. I also thought alot more highly of Eve She is slowing staring to grow on me might take a few more, but slowly. I liked the small comedy too. Jerry with the lighting and Morris falling. Also, Abby throwing coffe at that guy tring to save Morris's Bear Claw and then that guy showing up in the ER. I loved it all. I hope they keep going the way there are during the whole season. Better and better each eppi. Wow Dubanko's first name? A total surprise! I didnt think it was going to be something plain like John but Lusien (or howeve you spell it) was a shocker! ------------------------------- speddoc 10/15/2005 8:37pm Preface: I think R. Scott Gemmill is a weak writer, although a decent storyteller. He wrote both this one and Nobody's Baby and neither had as much energy as did the last episode or the opener, despite good stories. Which is not to say it wasn't a good episode. I just wanted to dial a few folks up a notch. Neela: Front and center, at last. So why was she so dull? She's got a good bedside manner, and certainly cared about her patient, but was as bland as can be. I can't make up my mind whether it was Neela being Neela, or PN just didn't get it right. It was an interesting story, but it never developed the urgency I would have expected. Abby: OK, she lost points today. Throwing hot coffee is both immature, and, given the driver needed treatment, assault. She's got to get the trigger reset on her impulses. The rest of the episode she was decent enough in a fairly tacky story. Best part was the scene with Luka (if it floats, flies...) I wonder if we'll see her cancer lady again next week. Dubenko: Lucien! It works for me. I liked his ham-handed, scientific approach to seduction with Abby. Classic Dubenko! I do love that character. I'm not sure whether that relationship is at an end, or just on hold for the time being. Pratt/Morris: Pratt was AWOL. What's up with that? And Morris was Morris. I did think his pratt-fall was very well done, however. Jerry/Frank: Good to have you back, big guy! The little story with the lightening was fun. Frank, is Frank again, I see. He got a bit too touchy-feelie at one point for me. I like the old acerbic Frank. Sam: You go girl! I loved the way she stood up to Eve and defended Inez. I do believe we saw the beginnings of the all-new and improved Sam. It's clear she's taken an interest in Inez, and I certainly saw a bit of leadership and mentorship coming out. Good on her. I'm also glad they've got her to the point she can work with Luka and he with her. Loved the scene where she stepped in and they worked smoothly as glass. She looked like a real pro. That's the Sam I thought we'd see after that great start in S10. I'm glad they're going to invest in this character. Eve: She was far less the beyotch from the firey place this time around, and that made her more likeable. She even tried to work with Luka constructively; I hope he took on board the little bit of problem-solving they did. I still see a lot of controlling behavior on her part, and she missed a prime opportunity to teach Inez by sending her out of Luka's trauma. There's more there than meets the eye, I'm convinced. I just can't decide what, although I have the germ of a theory I'm not sharing yet. Kerry: Welcome back! Gad, I've missed her. You sure got a feel for how distant from the ER she's become up in her office. I thought her scene with Luka during the baby trauma was very telling: she taking the safe, conservative approach versus Luka's willingness to trust his eyes and insticts. She interpreted what I saw as his attempt to rally her skills as insinuating she was rusty, and I'm not at all sure that's what he intended judging by his reaction. But she did strike a nice, old-fashioned balance between caring Kerry and smug Kerry in their discussion of the baby's x-ray.

Lubasha Visnjic: Luka: Well he had quieter day after last week. They put a period on the situation with Sam with a minimum of fuss. This was long enough after last week's episode that the cut over his eyebrow had healed so they had time to get past the rough spots, and can even talk professionally now. On to the next phase of his life. He's still having trouble with Eve, although she seems to be trying to be less adversarial, so that should begin to improve. Otherwise, they're still laying out his issues for the future: he's got a problem being seen as an authority figure and it's going to take work. That will be interesting. The scene with Kerry was fascinating. There was a lot going on, and I think at least part of what we saw was Luka showing the first signs of being a bit protective of his (?) ER. Given his protective instincts in other contexts, it certainly makes sense he'd feel that way. Interesting story with Blaire brewing. We'll see her next week. What will he decide to tell her? And a six-year coma? Gee, another metaphor, ya think? And that preview! Hot dawg!! I wonder who wrote next week's. My money is on David Zabel or John Welles. I must say, David Zabel and Co. continue to turn old story development and writing mistakes to their advantage by building them into the characters. Line of the week: "We have a saying in Croatia. Ako plovi, leti... If it floats, flies or... " (Fornicates?) "Rent it!" At the end, Luka made a noise. I had to run my DVD back and forth several times before I recognized what it was. He GIGGLED. What is the world coming to?

Re: Episode Discussion for 12.4 (Blame it on ... | 10/15/2005 10:49pm My apalogies, Speddoc, I wandered into the wrong episode thread, so I'll repost my opinion on this week's (10/13) episode here: All in all, a pretty good episode, directed by ER's very own Paul McCrane. I'm glad that the Season Premiere was not an omen of things to come. Every episode since has been great, so as long as ER keeps it on par with the last few episodes, this season will be great. I'm starting to like Kristen Johnson's character. She reminds me of a female Romano, and I'm looking foward to watching her shake up the ER even more. Although I'll never really like Morris, I am starting to warm up to him as ER's new comedy relief. I don't think it was a wise decision to add him to the regular cast, I'd much rather see him show up every once in awhile, do something asenine, fall down or get yelled at, and then crawl back in the hole from whence he came. I am really glad to finally see Kerry Weaver become a character again. I was really getting tired of the "recurring" Dr. Weaver, so I'm really happy that she's finally stepping up to the plate again after the last 2 years. Although Luka has proven over the years that he is indeed worthy of the leading spot, I'm not really seeing him show it. It doesn't seem like he really wants it. If he and Sam are finished, then fine, let that be the end of it, but take it off of the ventilator and stop dragging it out. This whole Sam/Luka breakup is interfering with his ability to be any kind of effective leader. I feel bad for Dr. Dubenko. I was starting to like his quirkiness, and now that is pretty much gone. I didn't like his little, shall we say, "proposal" to Abby this week. Even if his situation is understandable, you simply don't back somebody into a corner and put them on the spot like that. I can definitely sympathize with his situation, but still. Abby is getting better and better, and I think even Speddoc would have to agree that she's becoming an even greater asset to the ER. I really hope they are paving the way for her to get back together with Luka. I always loved them as a couple, and they seemed to have been dropping hints on the show that it's going to happen in the near future. I'm all for it. They are the two leading cast members, and the show needs to have a strong couple of the Mark/Elizabeth caliber again. And if you think about it, they were both really meant as the replacement Doug and Carol. So bringing them back together only makes even more sense. Things are looking good. Keep it up, ER.

Lubasha Visnjic: Pemberley Posted: October 14 2005 Post subject: Oh my. That Abby and Dubanko scene was classic. Too funny. I just enjoy his crush on her. ------------------ PropterSnark Posted: October 14 2005 Post subject: The Abby/Dubenko scene was my favorite on this show in a really, really long time. Still hating Eve. And girlfriend needs to get herself a shirt that's not so "Oh, look, here are my boobs!" ------------- kyriana Posted: October 14 2005 Post subject: Pretty active episode. Everyone had interesting patients. I enjoyed it well enough, but of course Abby and Dubenko were the highlight. It seems that the episode sets the stage for more to come because no one story seemed to come together on its own. A few things seemed mysterious--Kerry vs. Luka wrt the baby for example. ---------- carterfan Posted: October 14 2005 Post subject: I was so glad that Dubenko interrupted the one Luka/Abby conversation in this episode. I am glad that was the only interaction. I liked Luka's interaction with Sam. Eve is not a nice person. I hope she gets put in her place soon. This episode was pretty good. I still miss carter.

Lubasha Visnjic: Christie Moderator Posted: October 14 2005 Post subject: Abby to Dubenko: "Do you want to hop on...er...are you coming?" Oh boy. That whole scene was hilarious! I also loved Weaver's "What the hell happened to King Funshine?" Poor Jerry. He must've been struck by lightening before. I've heard that if you've been struck once, you're more susceptible to being struck again. Does anyone else feel like they're trying to make Morris into sort of a bumbling version of Romano? The kind of character that everyone loves to hate, who makes inappropriate comments and doesn't get along with his coworkers? I feel like that's what they're shooting for, but Morris is definitely no Romano. I felt like there were too many loose ends in this one. What happened to the coma patient? How serious were Jerry's injuries? I would have liked to have delved a little deeper into the mother's story as well...I felt it ended rather abruptly. _________________ 10-14-2005, 04:05 AM anonymous1 - For as much as was in the spoilers about Blaire waking up from her coma, it wasn't really in the storyline. - I liked the Luka/Sam interaction. I like the fact that they are having a mature breakup and are still able to work together. I like Sam standing up for herself toward Eve. Good scenes from both of them. - Jerry in the rain was quite funny. And that demented Care Bear (King Funsmile?) was hilarious. - Maybe this was just me, but if anyone else watches CSI, they might get this. The guy who played Mr. Anderson (the PPD mom's husband) did a guest spot on CSI a few years ago; he played a hepatitis patient with a magic nose who expirated blood all over his apartment. The guy is a good actor, but every time I saw him tonight I kept thinking of that. Highlights: - Jerry in the rain. - Neela pushing for the mom to get some care. - Sam and Luka in the trauma scene, reading each other's requests without words. - Abby and Dubenko's conversation. Lowlights: - For some reason, this one struck me as being a bit flat. Not sure exactly where it went wrong, but it felt like some of the spark was gone. __________________

Lubasha Visnjic: 10-14-2005, 05:38 PM JohnAndKem4Ever HIGHS (IMO) Kerry has a meaningful role in the ER. We saw almost every character in the ER family, with the exception of Pratt and Chuny. Dubenko’s illness was discussed and its probably not life-threatening (on ER you never know though) - just personally embarrassing. For the first time in a long time, Luka looked closer to Goran’s real life age of 33. Usually, I think that he looks more like a 38 or 39 year old, but this week he looked rather young in many shots LOWS (IMO) Didn’t find the penile, prostate, may never be able to have sex again conversation between Dubenko and Abby to be very convincing or funny. I think that with different actors and in a different setting that it could have been funny, but last night it just seemed weird and pathetic. Female sex therapist (aka high-class call girl) propositioning Abby. Abby’s hair. I have been silent about the bangs since the beginning of the season. However, in last night’s episode they just really got to me for some reason. Their fullness and height remind me of the hair pieces that Jessica Simpson favors, and Tierney is constantly pushing the hair out of face like it annoys her. Worse yet, the “next on ER” previews shows us that Abby will be in full Jessica Simpson mode later in the season, with extensions down to her chest.

Lubasha Visnjic: 10-14-2005, 09:52 PM SpySyd Ups -Sam,as a nurse and with Luka. She was nicer.I even liked her. -Neela,as usual. She's becoming a great doc. -Abby.Really nice with Dubenko even though the situation was so hard (no pun intended, lol) to handle. Downs -Eve...weird girl. -Not enough Ray -A bit slow.I miss the fast pace.
