A couple weeks ago, the «ER» star stopped on his way home to Santa Barbara for a visit to Tony’s Pizzeria in downtown Ventura. «Yeah, I ate an entire large pizza by myself,» Wyle said. «I drive back and forth on the 101, and I found it’s the best pizza on the West Coast.» Wyle’s photo hangs on a wall there as one of the restaurant’s regular customers. Wyle soon won’t have to make his daily commute between Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, where «ER» is filmed, and his and wife Tracy Warbin’s Santa Barbara ranch. The actor said it’s time to leave «ER.» After 11 seasons, he said, he can’t imagine anything else for his character, Dr. John Carter, to do. «The storytelling possibilities for him in the hospital are limited,» Wyle said during a phone interview. «The focus is going to the other characters. It’s not as much fun helping to introduce the exposition for other people’s storylines. «I felt the evolution of the character is coming to a creative end,» he said. Sometime later this season -- Wyle doesn’t know when -- Carter will leave Chicago’s County General Hospital. Wyle expects Carter will return to Africa, where the character has treated patients off and on during the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons. The only star who has remained with «ER» all of its 11 seasons, Wyle said he wants to spend more time with his family. A 33-year-old Hollywood native, he has lived in Santa Barbara since 1998, when he bought the ranch from Bo Derek. (Before his Hollywood fame, he cleaned up stables as a student at Thacher Preparatory School in Ojai.) His son, Owen Strausser Wyle, turned 2 on Nov. 9. His wife works in Hollywood as a makeup artist. A schedule of working on movies instead of a TV series will allow Wyle to spend more time at home. And he’s giving up his «ER» stethoscope for an adventurer’s clothes as he reinvents himself as a new, Indiana Jones-like character. From saving lives to saving the world

His professor kicks him out of college so he can get some experience in the real world. Flynn still lives with his mother, Margie (Olympia Dukakis), who desperately tries to find him a woman. To his surprise, Flynn easily lands a job as the librarian at the Metropolitan Public Library, where he finds out he’s responsible for more than books. He must protect the world’s treasures, from Excalibur (King Arthur’s sword in the stone) to Pandora’s Box and the Ark of the Covenant. He learns how to handle this responsibility from library head Judson (Bob Newhart, who guest-starred last season on «ER»), who later gets some of the film’s best scenes as he singlehandedly beats up bad guys in martial arts fights. Jane Curtin plays Charlene, who assists Judson in running the library and manages to keep know-it-all Flynn humble. When a villain (played by «Twin Peaks» star Kyle MacLachlan) steals part of the Spear of Destiny, it’s up to Flynn to travel around the world to find the other two pieces. If the villain -- it’s giving away too much to identify him further -- gets all three pieces, he’ll have absolute power over the world. It’s the same spear that a Roman soldier used to pierce Jesus Christ on the cross and has mystical powers. Flynn gets help from library operative Nicole Noone (Sonya Walger), who’s better skilled at fighting and jumping off cliffs than he is. «You don’t usually see the guy needing to be rescued by the woman. Sonya did a beautiful job,» Wyle said. «The Librarian,» which follows the plot formula of most archaeological/suspense movies, isn’t likely to rival Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones films in popularity, but Wyle clearly has fun playing a character much lighter than Dr. Carter. «We wanted to flesh him out and make him a three-dimensional guy. He certainly does not have the confidence of Indiana Jones with guns and weapons,» Wyle said.

His character went from being the intern struggling to learn under difficult circumstances to an attending physician and a mentor to medical students and young doctors. A tragic turning point for Dr. Carter came in 2000 when a patient attacked him with a knife and stabbed to death his protege, Lucy Knight, a medical student played by Kellie Martin, in front of him. Suffering psychological as well as physical injuries, Carter became addicted to pain medication but with support of his colleagues got help and started attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. He learned to deal with life as a recovering addict and emerged as a more mature and sensitive character. «ER» has consistently dealt with Carter’s personal life inside and outside of the hospital. He drifted in and out of relationships, including a romance with nurse/medical student Abby Lockhart (Maura Tierney). The series also featured his rich but dysfunctional parents and a grandmother who gave him a sense of stability in the roughest of times. PS. о Горане по-прежнему ничего неизвестно

Lubasha Visnjic: один фанат позвонил автору статьи предыдущей. оказывается журналист брал интервью у Уайла 11 ноября, а разговоры о продлении контракта на 12 пошли уже после. ТАк что снова непонятно. Детектив какой-то. Остается ждать 1 декабря. когда Уайл будет гостем в передаче у Литтермана на CBS. The AP reported after this date that Noah was in talks to extend his contract and if that happens he would probably be in less than 22 episodes. The AP has a reputation of posting articles within hours of an interview. Somethimes , if it is breaking news , it is matter of minutes. With all of this conflicting info and Noah saying conflicting info around the same period of time, I would say its hard to say whether Noah will stay or go. it does not seem like a done deal one way or another. He may very well leave or he may agree to a 12 season and work less than 22 episode. who knows at this point. I wish we would get official conformation one way or another instead ofgetting conflicting info that inclluded conflicting sound bites from Noah. I hope NOah extens on Er and then Er ends in 12 with Noah still there.

Автор статьи предполагает, что для Нила, но это только слухи. Я думаю, что не тольк о на 2 эпизода, все равно ему делать нечего после отмены его сериала «Гавайи» А также известна актриса, которая будет играть родственницу Керри - ее мать, в 1114. - Sissy Spacek Кто смотрел фильм ужасов по С.Кингу «Керри» (1976) тот ее узнал. Она играла именно ту ненормальную Керри.

Во-вторых, в связи с его планами делать много фильмов, скорей всего он будет как и Лора Иннес 5-10 секунд в серии или за весь сезон.
