Lubasha Visnjic: Промо 1 серии по телеку, рассказанная jenjen10 VOG: "Every year there is a premiere everyone looks forward too." ER flashes across the screen. The new season flashes on the screen as the song "Time After Time" plays in the background. The lyrics fit in well with the promo. There is a shot of Ray, then Neela, then Pratt, then Abby with this horrid smile, Luka and then Sam. Cut to gurney being rushed in by Ray, Pratt and looks like Susan. Someone says "I need a doctor over here." Cut to Pratt walking down the hall. He says, "Let's go." Cut to Ray walking down a hall looking either serious or upset. He makes that same face so much it's hard to tell what he's feeling. Cut to Neela rushing in with a sick boy in her arms. Cut to Pratt telling someone that they will be just fine. Cut to...yep you guessed it, Pratt bringing in another patient. Cut to a close up of Abby doing a procedure. She says "I'm in." Cut to Ray, again, telling the surrogate mom that the baby's not going to get enough oxygen. (So far this seems to be the only clip from a season 12 episode.) Cut to surrogate pushing. Either pushing or she's in a lot of pain. Cut to Ray catching the baby as someone says "Okay this is it." Another close up of Abby.....like she really needs it. She looks relieved. Cut to Coburn and the delivered baby. Cut to Luka tossing a pair of gloves at Abby and saying "Nice pick up." I think he tosses gloves. Hard to tell. Cut to Neela looking rather happy or satisfied. Cut to Malik and Abby bumping knuckles over a patient. Cut to Ray patting a kid on the head. And the best shot of all.....Close up of Luka smiling. Samiling and maybe laughing. Yes there is a laugh. Too bad it looks like he is smiling at Abby. The hair looks too dark to be Sam. VOG: "Time after time the one premiere to count on....ER. Thursday in two weeks on NBC."

Я думаю, что во-первых, он -последний мужчина, который был самым давним в сериале, а женщину-лидера (предполагали,что будет Мора Тирни) продюсеры еще не готовы поставить во главе сериала, и он будет иметь больше сторилайн в этом сезоне ,чем Лора, которая занята по горло в режиссуре. Она стала последней в 10 сезоне и осталась так. Может еще, когда Горан возобновлял свой контракт в феврале, это было одно из его условий. Это предположения. А может и кандидатство в Бонды тоже сыграло роль. Фиг знает. Но если он был "and" я тоже была на седьмом небе

Goran got top billing, and Abby was only in it for like five minutes, just like I like it. Other than that this episode was so not good. I thought last year's premiere was bad, but this one was like ten times worst than that and that is saying a lot. OD made the role of Alex his own and I'm sad to see him go. He really did want to stay and do both shows, but that's life. Well I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I didn't mind this episode. I got wrapped up in it and was late for work because I stayed home to catch the whole thing. And I am SOOOO glad GV got top billing. I thought the two scenes where Luka and Sam finally realized that they want different things in life were well done. It became obvious to both that the relationship had to end and it looks like it was done without animosity. It would have made more sense if she had said, "I was a mom at fifteen, I never had a life of my own, I want to know what it's like to not be all about being someone's mother." I don't have a problem with women who don't want kids: I AM one. But after this, there is no believable way that Sam can change her mind and decide she really wants a baby, by Luka or anybody else. The writers are stupid: what are they going to do with Sam if LC should happen to get pregnant next year? She's a young woman, and young women have babies. Not all of them, but the statistical chances are high. But after this, I don't see Sam and Luka getting back together believably. TPTB are going to go in a new direction; I can honestly see Luka and Abby getting back together as more believable than Luka and Sam, although I think it is more likely they will bring in somebody new for him down the road. Kristen Johnson is only going to be a short-term character, and it would not surprise me to find them adding a new female when she departs. Sorry, I can't see them going with Gillian, now that it has been made clear that Luka is all about the white picket fence. I have to say that, considering the bad writing, LC did a good job of portraying a mother out of her mind with worry, and GV's acting was stellar. The new Alex, not so much. The actors playing those two detectives were going for jaded, I guess, but it came out bored and indifferent. With any luck at all, I will never have to watch SS or listen to her voice ever again. I hated her on NYPD Blue before I ever got a chance to hate her on ER; I wish her a long happy life of unemployment, at least in the acting trade. My ER watching days are now officially over. The episode was pure and utter crap and there really is no reason to keep watching anymore. If they wanted to start writing new characters, they should have done a complete cast wipe and replaced them, not rewrite existing characters. Seriously. Hideous writing. He told Carol he was from a coastal area. Perhaps he even went to school on the coast and just did his internship in Vukovar. As for the age of the kids, I wondered that too however, it could be that he was 3ish and they were still using the crib because of a lack of space or money or whatever. I lived in Russia for a little while and people there had extremely limited living space, very little money and were forced to be creative. Kind of like Luka trying to save the unused portions of the suture kits in the first season. It's too bad that the only cultural differences we see with him now is the butchering of cliches.

And speaking of which--yikes, Susan? I was really glad to see her but I thought she'd dropped out of the season entirely. Did anyone else want to bitchslap Sam? I mean, Luka actually opened up about his previous life a little, and she's still shoving him to the curb. Poor guy. New Alex = distracting.
Lubasha Visnjic: AzizalSaqr Sep 23 2005, 03:24 AM Canon City just finished airing here and if they maintain the quality of this episode all season then I think it's going to be a good one. Glad to see that Goran got the lead title in the credits, followed by Maura, with Laura Innes maintaining the also starring at the end. There was a nice balance between the Luka/Sam storyline and the ER scenes and all the characters seemed to get similar amounts of screentime. We were introduced to several new interns and Sara Gilbert is back as well. My favorite scene, Luka telling Sam about the time he took Marko to the beach and lost him. It was good to see Luka and Sam finally talking and to hear Luka admit that he didn't want the loss of his family to be the end of his life, I've been waiting to hear that since he first mentioned his family. I also was glad to see him admit that he was a good father and that he could be again. I have to admit that I felt sorry for him when he asked Sam why she didn't want to have children with him, and she finally admitted that she didn't want any more kids. I'm not sure how they will be able to resolve that difference between the two characters, and I can't see Luka saying he can stay in a relationship knowing he won't have a chance to be a father to his own kids again. I'm not saying that he wouldn't be a good father to Alex, but it's been made pretty clear by both Sam and Alex that Luka will never replace Steve, no matter what he does. It was nice to see both Abby and Neela stepping up to their new titles but Ray has me worried, I'm not sure what's going on in his head. As for Morris, someone needs to knock him upside the head and tell him to quit being such a slacker. I'm not sure what I think of the new Alex, he felt a little off but I think that's because I found myself comparing him to Oliver's Alex. I'm withholding judgement on him until I see what he brings to the character. --------------------- alizarin Sep 23 2005, 03:45 AM GV first - brilliant! I'm so chuffed about that... (how sad!). I'm looking forward to seeing Luka talk about Marco (when I eventually see the episode in a few weeks...) - but wasn't Marco too small to be running around on beaches on his own? He was just a toddler in a crib when he died.
