Lubasha Visnjic: strell1116 Sep 23 2005, 05:36 AM GV first in the credits was a bit of a surprise for me, I was certain it would be MT. But except for LI, he has been there the longest. But then, if they were going by that, why didn't they give top billing to Innes? I think it's because they really want a male lead. I know, I sound like a miltitant ball bashing feminist (which I kinda am, actually), but doesn't it just seem odd? Not that I mind GV getting top billing, by the way. And Scott Grimes moving up to regular?? With all the Morris hate moving around I'm surprised no one's mentioned it. I seem to be one of the few people that doesn't totally hate Morris. ------------------ Lparr00 Sep 23 2005, 12:20 PM Ok....is this a new ALex or has the old Alex hit a growth spurt?? I am not happy with the course of Luka and Sam...she has got to get a grip and see how good she has it with someone like Luka...I was sooo screaming at the TV last nite for her to just work it out! Her whole 'my life delt me a lot of unexpected turns; lets dump the first good person to come along because whats the friggin point...' is getting old! Why couldnt all the docs hit a happy medium with dealing with the interns? I mean I thought Ray was just a little more 'intelligent' when dealing with these guys by now but what good did the hiatus do for his character...Neela making that one huge guy cry, now THAT was funny!...Abby was awesome in her 'treat 'em and street em' pace, but she shouldve taken a little more time with some of the interns to walk them through it (she reminded me of Green in a way yet she just shouldve included a the interns to some degree...) And yes, Aziz,~~~GOOD FOR GV MAKING #1!!!!! Still....i miss Noah..

Lubasha Visnjic: GreenJello125 (фанатка Керри ) Sep 23 2005, 12:30 PM I freaked out. Goran being first in the credits threw my whole day off; I had completely forgot that Noah's gone. Don't get me wrong, I love Goran there, but I just wasn't expecting it! I thought it was a pretty good episode. A real cast episode, excepting poor Laura. But Sam..uh..this man is driving you half way to Timbucktu, give him some credit! I can understand someone being panicked about losing their child, but show some thankfulness to him! Like I said, pretty good episode overall. ----------------------- KzamInUSA Sep 23 2005, 02:35 PM I agree. I am happy that some people liked this episode, but if the rest of the season is like this, then they need to kill ER like they did that antelope. Neela was the best part for me, but that thing about making her intern cry did not go over well largely because there was nothing in Parminder's acting that would have made anyone, who is not being treated for clinical depression, cry. Luka and Sam - loved the fact that they had some time to develop their characters, but their interaction was so awkward. I agree it was a clumsy attempt to provide a reason for them to breakup. New Alex - could care less as long as he stays out of the ER and out of people's way Abby – it’s the return of SuperDoc. But at least she knew her stuff. I always thought that Abby was supposed to be good with her patients, but in this epi she has the bedside manner of Col Klink. The staples, the kidney stone guy...yikes! Then there is the fact that despite being in the ER for over 5 years, observing numerous people go from being interns to R2s, she apparently has 'forgotten' that teaching is part of an R2's job. Worse yet is when she gets huffy about Pratt reminding her about this fact. Grow up! You're 40. You have significant job experience. If your boss reminds you of something that you forgot to do, then you simply say, "Sorry and I'll do better next time." Why is her character written for someone who seems to be in their mid-20s???

Lubasha Visnjic: Tag Sep 23 2005, 05:02 PM So did anyone else think the guy who shot the deer was going to go after Luka and Sam? Luka sure was looking at him funny. An awful premiere, IMO, and I miss Sherry already. ------------------------------- Pupcat Sep 23 2005, 10:18 PM Hmmm....Ok eppisode. This whole thing with Luka/Sam is getting old. He wants kids she doesn't. Alex is obviously too much for her and hell if she will let Luka help in any way. Also when did Alex seem to hate Luka so much?? I thought he liked him before Sam did? Lets just move apart and move on. Yeah Abby finally got too high and got knocked off her pedastal. I liked that they didn't focus on one storyline and finally got some interaction between the characters. ------------------------- paulyboy Sep 24 2005, 12:39 PM I was not impressed with most of the episode. The way they filmed Sam & Luka, I was waiting for the doom hammer to drop at any second, whether it was a car accident or a convenience store hold-up. They were not going to travel cross-country without some creepy side drama (as if an ill, runaway child isn't enough drama). Putting the deer down just sank like a lead balloon for me as a visual metaphor for them. I don't agree with the idea that Luka was cold or selfish while dealing with Sam. Luka's thing (I hesitate to call it a problem) is that he yearns to have a family again. Sometimes it quickly draws him into relationships (with Sam), and sometimes it destroys relationships when he's running away from that impulse (Abby). I wish they would just give him a stable partner and be done with it. Luka is not going to become boring by getting what he wishes for, GV is doing such great work that Luka will always be interesting. Now if they would just stop creating so many impossible-to-approach characters like Abby and Sam as romantic partners, people wouldn't get so frustrated watching the weekly angst-a-thon's that pass for romantic stories on this show. As soon as people get settled and happy, you never hear from them again until they break up or someone's life is in danger. Remember the days of Furillo and Davenport on Hill Street Blues? The conflicts happened to them individually, but they ended up in each other's arms at the end of the hour, and it was anything but boring. I swear John Wells doesn't know what a happy person looks like, let alone acts. On a brighter note, loved the Neela scenes, it looks like she might have a really good season. I enjoyed Susan's light touch, it's going to be tough to see her disappear all of a sudden. Ray still doesn't click as a character for me yet. Good to see Sara Gilbert get some meaty lines. As for Morris, if he came along in the early years of this show, he wouldn't have lasted 3 weeks in the hospital. The 'comedy' is too obvious, people who get away with behavior like that are usually much better bullshitters than he is (Kayson, Rocket). Also better practictioners to back up the bullshit. There's no reason for him to be where he is. Dump him. I yearn for the days when the show was interesting for the things that the characters said, not for the arresting visual images like dead deer and head stapling. Whatever happened to dialogue? Oh well...

Lubasha Visnjic: Caitie Sep 25 2005, 01:13 AM Wow, great acting by both Linda and Goran. I thought it was really REALLY moving. Okay, I don't know if anyone else has posted this (didn't have time to read the other comments ) But that's not the same Alex is it? -------------------- nmarchbank Oct 2 2005, 02:30 PM Goran got the lead spot in the titles? Maura DIDN'T get it? HALLEJUAH! HALLEJUAH! PRAISE THE LORD!

Lubasha Visnjic: Фанатка Луби. anonymous1 09-23-2005, 04:37 AM 1. Opening credits. I literally screamed when I saw that Goran is first and Maura second. My roommate rolled her eyes and said I was crazy for being so happy about it. Glad to see that GV's finally getting recognition for his contribution to the show. 2. Alex Taggart. The new Alex is...well, I don't really like him. His general build is close enough to Oliver Davis, but this kid seems a bit...flat. OD was very expressive, and this guy (anyone know his name?) is very quiet for being Alex. 3. In the Hospital. Glad to see that Morris hasn't really changed and is still making everyone else do his work. It was interesting to see how Ray and Neela (and Abby) reacted to teaching the interns what to do. 4. The Luka and Sam Saga. After watching this episode, it looks like that relationship is finally being put out of its misery, and I for one am thrilled. Stress can bring out both the best and the worst in people, and while the two stuck together while searching for Alex, it was obvious that their already-tenuous relationship is on its last thread. Neither of them honestly seem too upset by the fact - when Sam says that "we just want different things in life," Luka doesn't seem too surprised that it's basically over. Guess they both saw it coming. 5. The Marko at the Beach Story. Finally, a happy story about Luka's kids! We haven't seen one since, what, season six?!? It was nice to see Luka smiling when talking about his family, the way his eyes lit up and the smile playing at the corners of his mouth. GV's acting abilities never cease to amaze me. The only thing I was a bit confused by was Marko's age - he was pretty much a toddler when he died, right? So how did he know his full name to tell the police so they could take him home? Maybe I missed something or maybe the writers just forgot how old he was back in season seven. Though the story was kind of sad, it was also really cute, and I think it definitely reassured Sam that things would be ok. Episode Highlights: 1. Luka's story about losing Marko at the beach. 2. Neela making Teddy cry. Come on, it was funny! Episode Lowlights: 1. The new Alex. Overall, a great episode. It looks like season 12 is definitely off to a promising start!

Lubasha Visnjic: 09-23-2005, 06:57 AM lostqueen I really wasn't all that enthused about this episode, I've been a fan since season one, and I think I expect more from this show. However, Carter's departure is going to make things really difficult. It is good to see Luka pushed more to the lead. He's been there a long time, and he is a popular male on the show now. In my mind, he was just behind Carter in popularity. The only parts I liked were the Sam and Luka scenes while they were looking for her son. the ER scenes seemed just a bit off to me. Maybe this was because of Carter's absence, and what happened to Kerry? We didn't see Weaver at all this episode, or is she also gone from the show? I know i heard we are probably losing Susan this season. I'm not sure what's gonna happen next. I hope the new additions they make help the show stay afloat. ---------------------------- 09-23-2005, 11:56 AM .:Lauren:. I actually liked this episode. I thought Linda did a really good job, its probably the best acting we've seen from her so far. Although after a while she did start to get on my nerves, she still did really well. Poor Luka, having drive around for two days only to be dumped. But it was a long time coming, so he probably wasn't too shocked. And I don't like the new Alex. Oliver Davis was better (and cuter). I wonder why they recast him. Back at the hospital, I really liked the three different styles of Ray, Neela, and Abby-- they all felt like the characters. Maura's hair looked beautiful. And Neela making that guy cry was hilarious. -----------------------------------

Lubasha Visnjic: 09-23-2005, 05:32 PM JohnAndKem4Ever Yes, Goran's name was first, followed by Maura's and Mekhi's, respectively. Congratulations to Goran and GV fans!!! The interesting thing about the credits is Sherry Stringfield's name still appears in them. So if you are a fan of hers then this episode may be a collector worthy episode for that reason - also a good ER trivia opportunity. I have to say, I was not enthused by this episode. The writing just didn't seem to match what we know about the characters. Ray goes from being a medically savy guy, to an idiot not prepared for his job as an R2 and who knows less about medicine than Morris. Neela seemed like she was going to be the bright spot until that scene where she was supposed to have been harsh enough with her intern that she made him cry. Huh??? But if that is Parminder's version of harsh then bring back Romano so that we can really see what harsh is like. Sam and Luka. Loved the fact that they had so much screen time, but their scenes really bothered me. Super_Jas does a good job of outlining the situation concerning Alex. Basically, we have a young boy, with a serious serious medical condition, who has been missing for 2 days, is taking rides, food, drinks, etc. from strangers in a country where that contains a lot of sexual predators, as he makes his way several hundreds of miles from home. I can understand Sam's reaction. The question for me is why is Luka so cool? I can understand the writers wanting to depict him as the levelheaded one. However, the way the part was written it seemed more like he thought that the situation was not that serious. For me, it's really odd, especially since Luka is usually written as a passionate doctor who cares for strangers. Now, when his girlfriend's son is missing, he becomes Mr. Emotionally Detached??? Just weird. Abby was actually the highlight of the episode for me. She had energy and she knew her stuff. However, she forget to 'teach' her interns. Now, this is really my biggest point of contention with Abby and Maura Tierney. Exactly, how old is Abby? When Pratt correctly points out to Abby that she forgot to teach her interns, she becomes huffy and actually gets a negative attitude. The fact is Abby is not a novice nor is she a young woman. MT is pretty enough, but she looks 40. By no means does she look like someone in her mid-20s (look at Neela and Sam who are in the mid-20s by way of comparison). So one would think that the character she portrays is also meant to be 40. However, instead of Abby drawing on her experience of 5+ years in the ER as a nurse and an intern observing other people make the transition to R2, she acts like someone who has never held a job before. Instead of acting like a woman who has the life experience of a 40-year old, she acts like someone who is just learning to become an adult. Someone who is 40 and who has as much job experience as Abby does, does not react so negatively to her boss's comments. Rather, a mature person would have just responded by saying, "Thank you for reminding me. I was so stressed that it slipped my mind." Or something analogous. So is Abby supposed to be a 40-something year-old woman with several years of life and work experience? If so, then MT is the perfect person to play the role. Or is Abby supposed to be 20-something young woman who is just learning about the world outside of college? If so, then MT looks too old for the part. All in all, I thought that it was a mediocre episode, but it was also an episode that was shot last year. So it may not be indicative of the rest of the season.

Lubasha Visnjic: mr gilbert Tenured Scholar (9/22/05 9:16 pm) WTF, they bumped GV up to the top of the credits? I assumed MT would topline the show, followed by MP & GV. I wonder if TPTB did this to encourage GV to stay on ER despite his character's lack of progress. I dunno. But I can't help but be kinda annoyed about this. Frankly it smells a little bit like sexism to me, like ER can't have a female face in the show's #1 slot (since it's never happened to date). Urgh. Though I'm sure all the Goran fans here at TEEx will be pleased, I (a giant Maura fan) am not. As I suspected, I'm not optimistic w/things overall. Oh Sherry/Susan, I'm gonna miss you. Oh Sam, I'm totally bored with you & your kid & your bogging down Luka and on and on and on. Oh Abby, I can't wait for you to finally make an appearance. Oh god, Luka & Sam are actually having a conversation. Luka is talking about his family. It's kinda weird. I was starting to think it would never happen. I'm just frustrated that he's telling this to Sam, who IMO has done nothing to deserve such a personal admission from this long-tortured man. And now she's falling asleep at the wheel. Don't you just love her? Abby. Thank god. Seriously. OMG they actually hitchhiked. Sam, you are the trailer park version of yourself. Wake up. And yes Luka, we don't want that to be the end of your story either. And Sam finally does something of value - by cutting Luka loose. Run Luka, run. Yawn. Remember how I thought last season's premiere was ER's worst? Well, this one gives it serious competition IMO. Okay, I'll stop with the kneejerk reaction comments. That's not what TEEx is all about. ---------------------------- carterfan4ever Resident Scholar (9/22/05 9:47 pm) The first half of the season premeire is so boring. I hope the second part is better. I would not be typing now if this episode was better. Luka's son has aged in his remembrance. He son was a toddler when he died. I miss carter. I just hope when we see Carter again that Carter/Kem break up forever in his first episode we see him in.

Lubasha Visnjic: Abby Normal September 23 2005 Post subject: Worst. Episode. Ever. I really wanted Maura to be first in the credits, but I'm glad it went to Goran instead of Mehki. Minute 42 when Abby finally appears. WTF? Sam is probably the worst character ever on this show. And that includes the Cleobot. And I could've cared less that Alex was found or not. I was more concerned for the antelope than I was the kid. Meh. Neela making her intern cry. Loved it. Morris is just a total waste of space. But boy did Goran look yummy throughout the ep. _________________ ----------------------------- lily September 23 2005 Luka looked gorgeous, and watching him almost made up for the bordem. Abbs kicked ass! The new Alex isn't as cute, he looks a little phsyco. I agree, this was not the greatest ep, it was more like a filler ep then a premier I understand that Luka never talks about his family, but how can Sam not know their names, after all this time? I loved Luka story, but wasn't this the same time when they couldn't leave the apartment to by groceries? ...And I don't know anything about Croatia, but didn't they live in the city? One more thing, why was Luka taking only M arco to the beach, why didn't his wife and daughter go too....Just wondering? ...Oh, and he cried with the water running... All I could think about during the whole dead animal, after the memory of Croatia, was the story Gordana told about Luka and his friends giving the cow mouth to mouth. ER is so not the same.

Lubasha Visnjic: darko4ever September 24 2005 OK, this episode was pretty boring IMO. I like Samka, but I feel they are just looking for a way to break them up so they can have moe drama. Aby was awesome. I loved the scne when she stapled the patient's head I loved the story of Luka's son. This whole episode luka looked But next week's epiosde looks promising -----------------------------

Lubasha Visnjic: ashmo Posted: Sep 22 2005, 10:35 PM Pratt: very Carter I guess we'll see alot more of this. I also see him and Abby having a close mentor / student relationship definitely. Sam: Linda kicked ass with this one. If you forget everything about this episode I don't think you could forget her performance. I thought her and Luka's conversations were the answer to the questions we've been asking about their future.I can't wait to see Sam single never really had that. She really loves her kid. No matter what mistakes she says she made she really loves him no matter what. I thought the deer part was a interesting technique too. Neela: I loved her in this episode I think she did well for Morris being asleep and her intern being incompetent. I did kind of stare at the screen though when he started crying. Morris: still an idiot but more of a serious idiot. Abby: She kicked ass too, came on strong and I can't wait to see how she grows more with the help of Pratt. Susan: great as always not much screen time but her comments and glances to Pratt make ER more interesting Ray: Will definitely have a much bigger role this season. He did bad, but I noticed that everything that he did, in the spoilers were what Abby had done instead. Luka: Very helpful there but I had a feeling that Samka wouldn't last. She doesn't want anymore kids and I think that will be consistent Luka does want kids that's been consistent. Alex: I think it'll take me a while to get use to the new Alex. I think Oliver just made it his own. I think this season premier was better than Season 11 but definitely not the best.Just my opinions. Goran is #1 I don't think I was surprised just a little disappointed. --------------------------- mag1575 Posted: Sep 22 2005, 11:09 PM Linda Cardellini was amazing in this episode! Of course, I've been a fan of hers since Freaks and Geeks. I have to agree there wasn't enough trauma in the episode, but I still think it is one of the greatest shows on TV. ------------------------ Calla Queen Posted: Sep 22 2005, 11:19 PM WELL anyone who really watched the show had to know that SAMKA was doomed, especially after the preggers incident & the counseling. I can't say I'm sad about it, because I was hoping with Abby 'growing up' & Luka learning to deal with his past that LUBY would reemerge. Of course with all the CARBY's in complete denial of reality it wasn't really worth the effort. So with a new Alex (who doesn't seem as tenacious as the Oliver boy, & doesn't really look much like him either) and Sam removing herself from Luka's life, AND a new RN coming on board (Kristin JOhnson), does this leave much for Sam to do? Probably just working traumas now & wise-cracking on the very incompetent MOrris & medical interns. How dangerous is this ER for the patients now that Morris only covers his butt & catches up on his "beauty sleep" while the interns & struggling R2's learn to manage their new roles. AND while the attendings just show up at the beginning of shifts to critsize the number of patients on the board? Isn't Susan & Pratt planning on actually treating any patients? Ray, Neela & Abby all showed their respective strengths & weaknesses in dealing with the new expectations & the responsibilities of treating & teaching simultaneously. Overall not the best ER premiere, but it does pick up enough of Season 11, and leaves enough openings for new folks. But it really felt kind of half-hearted, you know, sort of 'same-old, same old'...Season 12 already feels like its' working on it's "death throes"... I'll continue to watch & see though for Goran alone!

Lubasha Visnjic: 40's Dame Posted: Sep 23 2005, 12:39 AM I'm a newbie to the board adding my 2 cents about Canon City. First off, I was happy to see Goran's name at the beginning of the credits. Since he has been a cast member since 1999 it was only natural that he would succed Wyle in the opening montage. I'm not really a fan of LC but she really proved herself tonight. You could feel Sam's desperation in trying to find her son. Excellent job! So Luka lost the girl again. In this instance, I'm glad. Luka and Sam's short relationship was tied up and packed away as soon as Sam so resolutely said "I'm not running, we don't want the same things." As she walked off, leaving Luka to ponder his aloneness, I was filled with thoughts that I haven't been filled with in a very long time...LUBY! Could it be that TPTB will actually reunite this couple? Hope fills me! LUBY would be so much better the secomd time around. Both have faced their demons and will be able to go into the relationship without the burdens each carried the first time. Does anyone know for sure if LUBY is a possiblity? Please say that it's so. ------------------------ ERLuvr7 (фанатка Керри) Posted: Sep 23 2005, 10:17 AM 1) Goran getting the lead...YES, YES, YES!!!! Woo-hoo!!! He deserves it as he's been there the longest!!!! I yelled SO loud "HE GOT IT"!!!! It saddens me to see Scott Grimes in the credits. This character is pointless!!! What a scuzzbucket!! 2) Samka: The beginning of the end (sigh). Linda did a wonderful job! Very believable and consistent through & through. Great job girl!! Now, if I was Luka, I would SLAP Sam over the head!! I would've dumped her eons ago with that stupid attitude of hers. They're doing w/ Sam the same thing they did with Abby in Seasons 7 & 8: all gloom and doom. Pessimistic to no end. The man takes off work to help look for your son, wants to marry you, spends loads of money in gas & has a wrecked car but she STILL won't marry/start a family w/ him? 3) Isn't Alex 10?? I distinctly remember Alex being ten (she had him at 15 -- making Sam about 25-26 y/o) but now he's 12?? Did they SORAS'ed him over the summer?? (SORAS = Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) 4) Susan looking like the proverbial school principal roaming the hallways. Suzy Q, take charge and show them how it's done!! 5) Can they get a more incompetent group of interns?? I felt bad for Neela's but hot dayum! Get a few things right will ya?? 6) Abby or Attila the Hun?? The way she stapled that girl's head. Can we say OUCH??? Stuck the needle in the woman's back? OUCH! I'm glad to see the knowledgeable Abby back. Last season she was clueless through & through. SO far from the Abby of Seasons 6 & 7 where she knew more than some docs. 5) Why would Sam leave Alex alone inside a prison??? I don't care if he was with his dad, but it's still a PRISON!!! She left the kid to 'break up' with Luka?? Another slap over the head!!!! 6) Do I have to wait another week to see Dr. Weaver??? UGH! Utterly annoying!! I want my Kerry Berry on my TV!!!

Lubasha Visnjic: Tony Posted: Sep 23 2005, 12:18 PM (владелец сайта ER Headquartes) I was not too thrilled about this episode. It was probably one of the worst season openers for me. I found it to be rather boring and all of the excitement seems to be gone. I do hope that the writers are going to start improving, or we may see this show decline in the ratings even further. It is disappointing to wait almost 4 months for such an episode. I will not be giving up on this show right yet, but it does make me wonder why I continue to bother. I am also disappointed in the re-casting of Alex Taggart. I thought that the original Alex had more spunk and really seem to be like a kid and not a child actor playing a kid. We didn’t get to see any of Weaver and hardly any of Susan (which I guess we had better be getting use to). This did seem to be the Sam & Luka show, with a little bit of Neela and the gang thrown in. I thought that Abby did a good job with her patients and I do see how aggravating it must be to train the “new guys” in doing procedures when your ER is packed. Morris was just as laughable as ever and it was good to see him on the opening credits. Well, I guess we can look forward to next week’s episode. Maybe there will be an improvement? ----------------- LooneyLindz5 Posted: Sep 23 2005, 02:33 PM I am not the world's biggest Luka fan. Half the time he's brooding and the other half he's complaining about unnecessary tests, yadda, yadda, yadda. But tonight I actually have to admit I enjoyed his performance. Or parts of it, at least. I simply adored the scene where he finally opens up to Sam about the time he lost Marco at the beach. I don't think he's ever grinned that much for that long a time before. It was a different side of him that we definitely don't see very often. I hope we see more of it, but as of right now I don't think that's going to happen, as things look pretty bleak on the Samka front. I was a little nervous as to how close a match the "new Alex" was going to be. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Nothing could be worse than what they did to poor Rachel Greene a few seasons back. Thank God they made a decent choice with Alex Taggart. As for Sam, I can't imagine what that would be like, waiting to know if your child is okay or even alive. I loved when Luka told her "Steve's in prison. You don't have to run away anymore." So true. Funny bit of trivia for all of you. When Sam and Luka are driving to the medical center in Iowa, they're really driving in Mokena, Illinois. My friend about flipped her lid when she noticed the bakery sign. Mokena is only ten minutes from where she lives and about 40 minutes from where I live. Yay for local landmarks on ER! Too much Morris and not enough Abby. I loved when she came in and whipped everyone into shape, though. Even if she did compromise her teaching in order to do it. Gotta love Abby, and I hope we see a lot more of her next week. No Weaver. Can't say I'm surprised, just disappointed. No Dubenko, either. SO totally bummed. Next week's episode looks to be a good one. Guess we'll hafta see! The credits were certainly interesting. I know that's been a big conundrum all hiatus - how were the credits going to be lined up? And now we know. Weird (and scary) as hell to see Scott Grimes among the top ranks. I do believe that's all I've got for this eppy. I'm sure I'll reply to random comments along the way.

Lubasha Visnjic: Samka4ever Posted: Sep 23 2005, 02:48 PM Linda did a great job, yet I don't know why Sam's driving me crazy. He loves you for crying out loud. Don't you see that. That new Alex creeps me out. No one will ever replace Oliver. One last thing... Did anyone else find that the episode jumped around a little too much? I think they could have had a bit longer scenes... ---------------------- briana Posted: Sep 23 2005, 04:31 PM The best part of the episode was when Sam hit the deer. While she was dozing off and everything. Everything else, I wans't impressed really at all. I was so disappointed because the promo for it looked SO amazing. I was happy with the Abby parts though. She's really good. There wasn't a whole lot of action though =S

Lubasha Visnjic: guardiantales Posted: Sep 24 2005, 04:30 AM When Luka said, "I don't want what happened to my family to be the end of my story," I choked up. That and him telling the story about his son Marko. I think those were significant events for the character of Luka... perhaps he's beginning to break through the walls at last. I enjoyed this episode very much. It did jump around a bit too quickly, but it seemed there was a lot to tell. I was glad to see a lot of Neela - she's one of my favourites. The Sam and Luka thing... Well, to my mind, it was really just a matter of time. She doesn't seem able to have permanence in her life, whether it be where she lives, or in a relationship. Thank God Steve is in prison. The further away he is from Alex the better. Maybe we'll see more character development with Luka - I would certainly like to see that... and maybe after a bit, he'll meet someone from OUTSIDE the hospital to have a relationship with... ------------ Laura Posted: Sep 24 2005, 07:07 AM I get that Sam would chose her son over Luka, it's only natural (or at least, when it was OD - this wee guy just seems so stiff...). I get that she would have been totally panicked and all that but... god damn it, she was driving me crazy - she saw absolutely no sense what so ever. I think LC did a good job when she hit the antelope thing, her reaction to it and falling asleep and then screaming at the car - very realistic and well done. GV... okay, anyone else notice how hot he was with that stubbe? But on another note... *ahem* I think the fact that he let her wreck his car, paid how much on petrol, actually WENT with her, walked away when Sam and Alex needed space, let her go see Steve and actually sat in the back of a trailer with her shows how much he loves that woman - don't ask me why, but he does. The song at the end, I loved it Have it downloaded as well now. As for Neela - hee hee, I liked her attitude (except when she was trying to clear the board...). Abby, good job but she's gonna have to get used to teaching. Ray, well what can I say? He did a grand job, lol and Pratt picking on them and just the little looks he was sending... hee hee. As for the episode being the Samka show, I think that this will be the only episode like that this season: after their break up Sam will disappear into the background because, really, what are her storylines apart from Luka?

Lubasha Visnjic: Dr. Romano Posted: Sep 24 2005, 01:31 PM I think I only watch this stupid show out of habit. What kind of pathetic excuse for a season premiere was that? There's no point of even keeping this show on anymore. Susan's leaving too? Come on, there's no one decent left and the storylines suck. Pull the plug already. ---------------- jimcarter5 Posted: Sep 24 2005, 01:41 PM I could not agree with you more Dr. Romano. Did anyone else kind of forget that Laura Innes was still on the show? It's not like it matters, the writers and ect. don't seem to be too concerned with clueing the audience in on what she's up to. This show has taken a serious nose dive. I think it started after Mark died, even though I liked season 9 it still wasn't as good as previous seasons. But now, it's just not good and I've been watching religiously since I was 10, so I've decided to stick it out and watch the last season, at least I hope it's the last. But on to more positive things.... I really liked Susan's hair.... ------------------------

Lubasha Visnjic: И в заключении waves39 Posted: Sep 25 2005, 10:11 AM Certainly not their best. I expected more from them. At least for the season premiere. Right off the bat- The 'Previously on ER" segment, I notice something. THey have a new Alex! So we start off in a police station. Sam looks (and sounds) like a wreck. The detectives killed it for me. We're two minutes into the show and I wanna strangle someone. Usually that doesnt happen till morris shows up. roll the credits: Goran's first! then Maura (surprise, surprise) Mekhi (disappointing for those that wanted him first) Sherry (How i will miss thee) Parminder (woo!) Linda (meh) Shane (meh) Scott (reached for a bucket to hurl in) and Laura (They might as well just take her off) back from the break and we get a nice shot of Morris. Ugh. I'd wash that forehead If I were you Jane. It's Ray's turn to run the board. I dont know why I had higher expectations. We shouldve expected him to start with the excuses after last season. He loses alot of R2 points here (a concept to be explained later) Ray in the trauma: The points keep rolling away. he was totally out of it "We use accomodate cause it's a good drug" is not exactly a brilliant explanation. I really loved how Susan went to Haleh first to find out how everything went. Nice nostalgia moment right there. Right back to the Alex line. All I heard from detective happy was 'blah, blah, blah'...kinda like that teacher in The Peanuts. Sam's called away from her home to learn that theres an unidentified kid in a diabetic coma 200 miles away. To the Kovacmobile! Turns out it wasn't Alex...anyone else see that one coming? Don't be shy....yeah, thought so. I was liking the Alex line up until the parking lot fit that Sam threw. That was a little much Back to Ray, trying to see every patient in the hospital (Doug Ross?) I started laughing when I noticed Susan and Pratt watching through the window. "I liked it better when you were a closer" yeah, me too, but look who's talking. What happened to CowboyPratt? *Greg Pratt will now be referred to as 'Captain Pointless'* As soon as I saw Neela's intern, I knew it was going to be trouble. No one's that happy. And now, it's neela's turn to run the board. "I'm so screwed." Man, can you imagine how much you'd have to spend on gas to get to colorado from chicago these days? Might wanna consider renting out a room in that apartment. Over to Neela's rounds. "No? That's okay, we'll make some up." Bugs hitting the windshield...we must be getting close. Sam was dreaming about Alex getting lost. No, you don't have to be Frued to figure that one out. I loved Luka's story though. I thought it was really cute. I'll admit it, I didn't know there were beaches in Croatia. What surprised me was that Luka had been with her all this time, and never told her his kid's name. Neela corrects her intern again. I was personally hoping she'd slap him Sam's driving. I saw the falling asleep part coming, but not the bloody mess. "DEER! um...ANTELOPE!". Yeah, Antelope. "Is it dead?" What are you going to do, intubate? Luckily someone was passing by, who happened to have a rifle in the truck. Thats what I love about rural america. Everyone carries a rifle in thier truck. (joke, haha, laugh) Neela's had the last straw with her intern. She gives him a good yell, and sends her home. (she earns major points here.) Just when I start feeling disappointed that we haven't seen Abby yet, she comes in for her shift. Abby quickly transforms into the Mistriss of Efficiency, and get right to rounds. "What do we do first?..take a history." I knew that! Rising gas prices getting you down? Hitchhike! I really didnt like how they started fighting in the back of the truck. You dont just fight on a stranger's flatbed! "Are you Alex Taggert?" No! it's some strange look alike! You've got the wrong Alex! Bring back Oliver Davis! How did the officer even see him? He's slumped over on a bench, hiding his face. If only the cops around here could do that. The Mistriss of Efficiency was at it again. Clearing rooms faster than a speeding bullet, operating the stapler with more power than a-you get the point. I loved the little Carter reference they threw in there. I felt the Jail scene was a bit superfluous. Yes, Steve's in jail. Let's go back to Chicago and leave NewAlex behind. Anyone else think he looked like a mini-Morgenstern? Captain Pointless spends the whole episode 'looking on', trying to be the critical teacher. I loved when Susan c

Lubasha Visnjic: ~Random thoughts~ -Alex is now played by Dominic Janes -One thing that I was pretty satisfied with was how hysterical Sam was. She looked like a total wreck. I was glad they didn't have her with perfet makeup while she's frantic. It reminded me of how Lizzie looked when Ella took Rachel's ecstacsy -ugh, Morris -I dont like the idea of a new Alex. Oliver Davis did a great job. It's like when they got that other kid to play Reese back in season five. -"I cried by the sink...with the water running." *swoon* -Frank was just about as useful as a butthole in your elbow in this episode. He needs some new material for his Neela jokes. -Just remember, hemepsol is an alcohol dehydrawhatever -Samka's over, Luka needs a new nurse. -Another thing I didn't like about Alex. He was way too stoic. So out of character, it's ridiculous. -"Reminds me of someone I used to know." THANK YOU! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE SUSAN! -Here's how I have it figured out. Neela's the mini benton/Susan, Abby's our Mini Carter, and Ray, well, he's lucky if he doesnt get fired. Next week: Could be good. It's always promising when they throw in the word controversial. THE LOOK OF THE WEEK: Susan, to the mother that needed to breastfeed her 6 year old. Line of the week runer-up: Jane: No, I just wanted him to stop breathing THE LINE OF THE WEEK: Neela's little speech to her intern "You're attitude is just so...weird." R2 Points Just for kicks, I'm gonna give out points to the new R2's, based on how they did, and how well they're making the transition. Let's go through this week Ray Let's morris interrupt him whil he's running the board: -10 grilled by Pratt: -10 schooled by Jane: -20 bugged by interns: -15 gets bad grade from Haleh: -30 Total: -75 Neela takes forever in rounds: -10 yells at Morris:+10 Kicks ass in trauma: +10 Corrects intern(#1): +10 ^^(#2): +20 ^^(#3): +30 Makes intern cry: +50 Feels remorse: -10 says 'Bollocks': +10 Total: 120 Abby Rules the board run: +20 rocks the stapler: +10 Carter reference: +30 makes little kid laugh: +10 Total: 70 Standings Neela-120 Abby-70 Ray- -75

Did anyone else kind of forget that Laura Innes was still on the show? А?
